A guy's mind works different when asking for help. The 2 questions I ask a buddy when I need help getting an elk out. 1. Are we still buddies? 2. How drunk are you? The answer is always Yes and a little.

Once again, okay a couple of more times in this video, your level of experience made what was a technical, very difficult, job look to be very easy. People need to know, understand and remember that because you have years in this arena your base of knowledge to look at a situation and sort out the possible scenarios before every pulling a winch is what makes it so that you can get people out of sticky tricky situations with relative ease. Experience cost, both sides. It cost you to gain the experience. It cost the customer to gain access to that experience.

Watching experienced folks with the correct vehicles attack offroad obstacles inspires many to folliw suit! Only problem is folks usually under estimate the experience and talent PLUS the correct vehicle it takes to really succeed!! It is like folks going and buying a horse, or dog or an rv, thinking it is going to be so wonderful!! Then reality......keeping a cool head and great friendly professional demeaner is truly an art!! Roll cage on that side by side is tough as nails! Looked like it did the very thing it was designed to do - protect driver and vehicle from being all squashed and everything. Rally car cam was awesome as hell. Really shows off how violent these trails are. Rory is rearranging rocks, getting things done and running crazy cool camera work all by himself. Very cool video because it shows that these recoveries are not just about "picking it up and carrying it out" when it comes to these recoveries.

I love the shots inside that show Rory driving. I’m hoping to see it when he stalls or stops while towing uphill. Remember he’s got clutch, brakes, and gas to use all 3 at same time with 2 feet. Easy to do with an automatic or a rig with a hand brake, but not a stick.

Gives a more accurate impression of the terrain you're covering. Actually, the whole episode, for being alone, was outstanding camera work.

Those things, especially modified like the one he picked, are far more capable than any truck or jeep you could ever build with 4x the money. That is where the problem lies. They are so good that they inspire confidence in people with no business thinking that way and allow them to access areas they never could access before and find themselves in way over their heads and no skills or experience to fall back on.
