Rodent got the knock sensor wire on my 3.5 V6 Honda. I was over 50 years old, never had this trouble before. $80. Could have been worse. I now keep moth balls and Fox urine under the hood. I have heard peppermint spray also works.

What?? No reminder written on the freaking bright yellow-orange tape reminding you to remove it before reassembling everything?? 😁

If they can make rodent repelling water lines, why can’t they make a rodent repelling wire covering?

I keep a couple bags of moth balls under the hood of my convertible when not driving it over the winter, has worked for me.

World’s most expensive mouse house. I realize not everyone has access, but glad I can get at least three cars stored inside over winter. Feral cats do a pretty good job of keeping the other wildlife under control for the outside cars.

Lucky they didnt start up the car while twoholes was still sleeping there. That happened to me once. removing burned on skin off the engine is bad enough but imagining the poor fella trying to escape while sticking to hot metal is way worse

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of the engine, I will fear no Feivel, nor 2 holes, for the ShopVAC is with me. Its wand and it's motor, they comfort me. Sadly, though, I must dwell in the wires of soy forever. (I have no doubt that when EV is the norm, manufacturers will make wire insulation out of cheese. Gotta love those rascally engineers.)

Spray everything with a mixture of water and Pequin Chile Powder. I do this on my snowmobile in the summer and some of my tractors in the winter. Two Holes and Feivel will walk on it once and they will run for the hills! Pequin Chile powder is 5-10 times hotter than a jalapeno. I also add it to birdseed and the squirrels do not come back! It makes your engine spicier as well! LOL DO NOT PUT IT NEAR YOUR VENT INTAKE OR YOUR COWLING!

Honda has this capsaicin tape but they chew through that too. But you do have a great idea that I might try out.

@@customerstateswhat It is cheap and has worked for me. I got it from a Hispanic guy I work with in the summer on a farm. He was one of the mechanics.

@@customerstateswhat Last comment. Try it with birdseed and squirrels. "Wild Delight Squirrel Away Zero Waste Seed Blend Wild Bird Food, 5-lb bag" It has a lower capsicum level than Chili Pequin. It is already on the market.
