2:04 that is by far the most well maintained vehicle i've ever seen on this channel. no logs holding the chassis together, no spray foam. i assume it had brake rotors that didn't look like ABS rings too.

Regarding the first two clips: if only there was something called a pre-purchase inspection, this wouldn't have happened. But alas, no such thing exists.

I think it's covered by the Lemon law in some states.

Funny that you should say that, but in civilised parts of the world, such things are often compulsory! But that's "commie" stuff, ain't it?!

Dude what the heck is going on with breaking engine mounts? How the heck do you do that?
@Psykomancer6 ай бұрын
Very rough riding. Once the bolt is loosened/snapped the engine shell starts banging against the cradle, breaking the mount. Had that happen to me on a cheap chinese motorcycle. It was dirt cheap and I was the 8th owner, lol.

That last bit reminded me of a time coming back from Las Vegas on the 15. A huge cloud of smoke was coming down the valley toward me, which turned out to be coming from an 18 wheeler. It looked like a destroyer laying down smoke for its fleet. Everything behind it was obscured.

My old dad fixed an oilpan on a tractor with something like jb-weld once. It kind of worked all the way home to the farm where he took down the oilpan and did a proper repair.

This channel makes me less anxious about the minor repairs my car needs.
@JadeFalcon076 ай бұрын
The ONLY times you can expect free repairs are if 1: the problem is under warranty 2: a previous repair from the same shop failed or missed something relevant. 3: you are really good buddies with the mechanic. Edit, example. I recently had my thermostat replaced and when I got from the shop to work my car was leaking coolant and steaming. Managed to avoid cooking it and topped up the reservoir to take it right back. Shop covered the cost to replace the coolant line that failed to seal and even offered to cover the difference in my rental when the total repairs took longer than promised.
