A great addition to the layout you just need some fire buckets and the loco crew room and job done.

Hi Trish, I think you hit the nail on the head by your comment `as long as you enjoy it` who cares (lol). Shed looking the part, if no lights to be fitted inside what about a couple of `gas like` wall mounted working lights. I think once the weathering and washes applied and ground covering around it will look fantastic. Many thanks for sharing regards and best wishes, Barry..

Hi Tris, I'm not really someone who usually watches someone build a kit, but I found this interesting, I like your attitude and approach, not trying to be a self-proclaimed guru like some people on here. Nice video, keep up the good work. Scott

My grandfather has his engineman's shed on the back of the shed - since you have no windows there, that could be an option for you, and there could be an unseen door for access on the inside of the shed.

As one who volunteers on the Epping Ongar Railway, I can only say that more Great Western Railway locomotives now run on Great Eastern lines. At the Epping Ongar Railway, we own Pitchford Hall, at the other heritage railway in Essex, they have a variety of Great Western tank locomotives, of which two have visited the Epping Ongar Railway.

It is a shame that so few Great Eastern engines have survived

It most certainly is!! The only one I know of is Holden 5F number 999!! She’s in Great Eastern Cerulean Blue. She’s a gorgeous little locomotive!!

I think the Great Western got very lucky with having most of their locomotives assigned to Barry for scrap. Thus lots more opportunity for recovery of what were really fairly mundane locomotives of the time. Other companies only really ended up with their prestige named locomotives being saved.

@@Madonsteamrailways There is the North Norfolks J15 but that's not a Y14 anymore, then there is a Holden E4 was a GER T26 440 at Bressingham but I think thats it

Another cracking video Tris. You've made a nice job of that ES kit and I think it'll look grand in situ. I used to build card kits of old, but card, brick papers etc defeat me. I tend to work with brass, nickel silver, wood, resin and plastics nowadays.

May I make a suggestion for some extra detail shapeways list some 3d printed tools drills lathes and benches I hope you don't mind 😂

Hi from New Zealand. Nice build but you have the doors reversed, the bracing should be on the inside never on the outside.

Hey Tris, hope you are well. I'm only just researching buildings. Just a question for you please. Do you have a view on plastic, resin vs wood or card? Be interested to know now what your preference is.

Also, is it worthwhile investing in a 3d printer? The cost and poor selection of station buildings on the market seem to suggest so. 😊
