I love how you don’t make it a screen recording because u can’t really see where you need to press that easily. This format of recording can show you where to press by looking at the fingers. It is much more easier so thanks for the lovely tutorial!

In widgetsmith, the last color option for background or tint color for a widget is custom! You can choose a color from a rainbow, go through rgb sliders, or type the hex code so you can get your widgets to match any color background you might already have picked out!

I literally watched like thousands of videos to customize my ipad .. everyone using widgetsmith and i just couldn’t follow the tutorials idk why and i just removed the apps to customize because I thought I wouldn’t need to customize my ipad it’s unnecessary after multiple failed attempts 😂 now i found this video and im installing again . This was so fun to do, can’t wait for the icon tutorial. I went with a teal theme and didn’t want to pay for the temperature widget so I left it on even though it doesn’t match. I woke up this morning and a cloudy day matches my color scheme perfectly 😂

i had this same issue, however if your iPad is up to date, just go to settings, and under “home screen & dock” make sure you select “more” under App Icons. it should allow the widgets to appear on your home screen. hope this helps!

you’ll need to save them with a background (as jpg)- otherwise they take the Widgetsmith icon background - I had the same issue!

hiya! Moving the apps into one folder is totally optional! The only reason I did it is because I wanted to keep all my original homescreen icons together, in case I end up not liking the new homescreen for some reason. I’m super particular about the exact placement of each icon 🙈
