OK, I don't know the problem with me here, but cannot find the link for the SHX Fonts, I am new to all this laser and such, and has increased my use of KZbin so I know about expanding the section from the presenter. But mine shows no link, The actual expander is just ...more, so I don't even have the show more. Am I missing it or just losing it? thanx

I struggle with tabs on my laptop. As you mentioned some laptops don't play nice with lightburn. Mine is one of them. own a Toshiba Tecra A50-E, 15,6”- Intel Quad Core 8th Gen i7- 8650U-32GB RAM-Super Fast 1TB M.2 SSD, Full HD - 1920 X 1080 - Windows 11 Pro. It does get very frustrating trying to find a tab that has a check mark and is no where to be found.

Yeah, anything less than a 17" screen is not going to work right. This is why I tell everyone to use a dedicated desktop. A good Core i5 can be sourced used on eBay for around $100.

Oh no! Click on *Window* from the top menu and _Cut Palette_ is likely not checked. *Click on it* to make it reappear.

The order works for me. If I put the cut below the graphic in the Cuts / Layers tab, it engraves first and then cuts, and vice versa. If you're having an issue, you can post on the Lightburn forum and a technician will help you Ted.

Hopefully you can help....I keep getting "ALARM:2 G-code motion target exceeds machine travel. Machine position safety retained. Alarm may be unlocked. (Right click on the "Device: button to reset the connection). I do that and the alarm happen again shutting down the burn. Usally it happens as soon as I hit start....Any suggestions?

@@TheLouisianaHobbyGuy Thanks for the help! I have an Ortur Master 3. I did everything you said in the video. I made sure the frame was square; the belts were tight. I reduced my bed size to 395 x 395 and I am still getting the error. I did notice that the LED light on the machine is green, then flashes white then yellow. I traced that back to a SD card instillation error. But I am at a loss. It was working, but no matter what I try to run, it shuts down immediately with this error.

Good Video Rich. You mentioned that some laptops have a hard time docking windows. Sometimes mine does too. What laptop and resolution do you use?

I have a 17" Dell at 1920x1080. It works perfectly at this resolution Randy. Screen size is where the bug comes in. I get bugs sometimes on my 15" and taking it out of full screen helps.

hey there thanks a ton for posting this Rick! i am new to lightburn and found it a little cumbersome till this. i have a question that’s unrelated. is the d1 module compatible with other frames and controllers (i can change wiring harness and add 24v psu if needed myself) or is there something about it that makes it proprietary? i have a sculpfun frame and a chance to score a free d1 module from someone but don’t know if it can play with the controller

Thanks Rich far better explanation than the lightburn version of the tabs . Why did lightburn make minimum screen resolution over 800 in the vertical which makes tab setup challenging on a laptop. Cheers Geoff

Hey Rich, you probably already know this... But just in case you don't... If you double click the frame button in lightburn, it will frame twice.. Forgive me, but I found it by accident and it actually comes in handy.
