You oughta consider Frankensteining the arms from the Fast and Furious Cena figure like you did the head. I did the same thing and it worked out pretty well.

Was thinking of it but the lack of double jointed elbows are bothering me slightly. I'm gonna take them apart and see if I can increase the range of movement.

@@VADtoys might I recommend maybe using the new Love and Thunder Ravager Thor figure arms spliced at the bicep? I plan on using that for my Peacemaker, but this video really pushed me to start on customizing this guy, loved how he came out man, any plans on getting his weapon accessories ?
@RunItsHades2 жыл бұрын
@@carlosarjon7189 The only problem with using either the Ravager Thor arms or the F&F John Cena arms is that they have a hole at the biceps and not a peg. You will likely have to find a screw or something to be able to plug into the McFarlane Peacemaker's shoulders.

I didn’t really care for the helmet surgery. Didn’t think it was necessary, since you could just head swap-unless you wanted to pose it specifically holding his helmet. But now you’re left with a wonky helmet, but a good looking head…..? It’s like taking a Wolverine head and trying to fit the mask over it-the HAIR makes it NOT work. But for anyone absolutely adamant about having the helmet fit… The better candidate for this project would have been the Ultimate John Cena Figure, which has a lot less hair, and much more interesting heads. I have the same figure and have been wondering what to do with him as well. I think my plan is to look for a spare head and take off the helmet. And then just swap around heads and helmet holding as needed. I rarely modify neck pegs, if they can be pulled out and swapped, then I’ll swap those instead. Depending what kind of head it is, I’ll usually mod that instead. A bit of hot glue and then squishing it on to the neck peg should create the perfect fit, trim the excess. And now you can swap the head to other figures of the same line, which would be more beneficial. 👍

The less parts I have laying around the better and now I have options to do both, it's sort of like having a hand with a pre-posed gun in it as opposed to a removeable gun. The helmet, now a tad less accurate doesn't particularly bother me since I'm just gonna see him head on or slightly angled from the side, it's not like I'd have him so the back of the head is in focus. I was looking at the Ultimate John Cena head but the haircut is wrong and I didn't find the expressions particularly great since the closest to a neutral face was a sort of dorky looking smile. Finally, as for the neck, I was briefly looking into cutting off the entire neck section from the Mattel figure but quickly figured it'd be way too much work and I'd still be stuck with Mattel's wonky articulation setup for necks.

Yea, I feel you with the extra parts and accessories. Until I just decided to hyper organize everything. I use one of those little parts organizers, alphabetically organized by name, and then those super tiny 1-2 inch ziploc baggies and label them accordingly. A pain, but it keeps things more manageable and less overwhelming.
@thepkeezy2 жыл бұрын
And yea, those other Ultimate John Cena faces are a bit goofy, but work better with his helmet on. I’m just going to swap heads back and forth as needed rather then mess with the helmet. If I needed to constantly swap them maybe I’’ll consider doing the helmet mod, but I don’t need to swap that often. Nor do I care to see him too much without his helmet? I also have the option of 3d printing a custom one, so there’s that too. 🤔

Great idea! I'm gonna have to look into how the skin tone is, I'd prefer to not have to paint the arms. Mattel is using an annoying orange-ish tint for skin tones which is a bit hard to match.

I don't think it works. You should have picked up another Cena figure from the $10 basic wwe line and then shaved it down for the helmet. then keep the one with hair as an additional head for swapping for unmasked look.
