HOW TO MAKE HOME HYDROGRAPHY
There are many who asked us how to do hydrography at home. Well today in Customs Car Street we bring you the well explained technique of how you should do the process at 30º temperature.
WHAT WE SHOULD USE FOR THE PROCESS OF HYDROGRAPHY
The materials to be used should be the following:
We will need a basin where to make the hydrography, it can be in a bucket or bathtub, but we recommend a small box where between the piece and it is manageable to empty.
A thermometer that can measure from 20 degrees to 40 degrees minimum. Do not use a body thermometer. We recommend a digital or mercury thermometer.
The movie design that you like to customize.
The quality activator to have no problem in the liquefaction of the design.
An 18mm wide body tape to delimit the film and protect areas that we do not want to be painted.
A cutter to cut the sheet to size.
The base color that we want to give the background of the film.
A superfine for sanding or scrubbing to tone the piece.
A degreaser or alcohol to remove grease and silicones.
The piece to be personalized or object.
A gloss or matt varnish depending on the finish of the piece.
The water for the basin.
Hand paper to dry and degrease.
A cloth traps dust.
HYDROGRAPHY PREPARATION PROCESS
We will start with using the scouring pad or superfine on the object to perform the hydrography.
The superfine sandpaper more than the scrubber, then according to the piece is prepared we will use one or the other.
This we mean that if the piece is varnished we will use better the superfine and then the scourer to finish shading the shine.
If the piece is only plastic or already has a base color and what we want is to open the pores, we can use the scourer.
We take the desengrásate or the alcohol and we pass a paper to clean the surface that we are going to carry out the hydrography.
Once dry of the degreaser or the alcohol we take and blow to eliminate any pisco, we can do it with the mouth or use a microfibre cloth.
We move the spray bottle of the base color well. About a minute after hearing the metal marble and putting the boat upside down.
Mask all those parts that you do not want to be stained or painted with body tape.
We place the piece on a stand or rock and apply a couple of hands of paint.
The first hand we apply finite and the second more loaded, if you see that I do not know how well covered apply a third.
Once the paint is dry, it will take about 10 minutes, place the piece on the hydroprinting sheet, and cut about 4 fingers larger than the piece to be customized at each end.
We will take the basin to pour the water.
We will use hot water plus cold water to mix it and reach a temperature of about 30 degrees on the surface and about 32 degrees at the bottom ..
