How to make a Trackmaster Motorized locomotive Molly custom

To swap out batteries, you must unscrew all screws from the engine. Then desolder the batteries. Prepare the new wire, get new batteries, glue them together, then solder the wire to negative in the first battery, then positive in the second battery. (If circuit shorts out,, make sure the other contacts are wired.. if you wire the contacts while the thin wire is connected, the circuit gets shorted.) Then wire the batteries to the motor engine. (If motor runs backwards, desolder the battery contacts, turn the batteries upside down, wire motor.) then screw the cover, and we're done.

this explains why its not going to be a common thing I nearly was able to do something similar using a 2012 talking diesel with a flashlight battery but then got ahold of a 2014 RC Thomas and then tried wiring that up, it did work but couldn't close the shell and then proceeded to just make a freewheeling diesel shunter instead, now I have another diesel and its got a 2009 Mattel motor in it which is really weird and can't free wheel easily I deemed it just too hard for the reward it could give

This should be possible for the Trackmaster Talking Engines and other RC engines too. Next time, give Molly moving side rods to make it even cooler.

Well really it is possible with all RC engines as long as you know what wire goes where. As for the talking engines, not too sure what you mean

unfortunately it's not easily done with hank or mighty mac as they have the crane or spin which hinders their motorized performance and has no space for the engine to he inside the model

Harvey is impossible to motorized since the body is literally the smallest things that tomy and Trackmaster made

You can but you'll need to use much smaller batteries for those two, I'm gonna try this out with an rc flip face thomas when it arrives in the mail

So if I twist the two wires together to make one, solder the rather small battery holder with the wires, I could make a Trackmaster RC Thomas model run on his own, but can still be remote controlled!
