Late reply - This would have been extra helpful to include 2 things: Try to cut the same material with the machine on versus off. Place the cutting mat on a scale to show how much force is being applied. It's hard to tell if you are pressing hard or not. A good sharp blade would do most of the cuts you did without ultrasonic.

Good job, my man. Extremely trough and easy to understand. This presentation put me over the top, and I made an order. Thank you, friend.

I kindly disagree. I'm a wooden model ship builder and bought this cutter thinking I could use it to cut some scratch made parts for models I build. I use hard woods like boxwood, swiss pear wood, and holly. This cutter has two major design flaws. First, the coiled cord. It's stiff, doesn't uncoil easily and it's attached to the box at the back, not the front. When you cut you basically are dragging the box with you which is added weight making it more difficult to control. Second design flaw is the location of the button on the cutter handle. It's on the top. You grip the handle like you would a pencil but with the button on the top, the grip is awkward and adds to the difficulty of cutting accurately. There's one more I'd like to add. The cutter CANNOT cut hard woods as the gentleman demonstrates in the video. It burns and just stops working. It was a nightmare for me trying to use this cutter dues to these design flaws. I sent it back to MicroMark the very next day for a refund. $400.00 is just too much to pay for a tool that is so difficult to use with these design flaws.

You must have done absolutely zero research before buying it, because it’s not only common knowledge, but painfully obvious that an ultrasonic cutter wouldn’t work with wood
@lauckstreet2 жыл бұрын
You can disagree all you want but quoting from the Micro Mark Catalog, "...essential for cutting plastic, cardboard, balsa, fabrics, plywood, rubber, acrylic, MDF, leather, bonsai and more!" says it all. If it is advertised to cut such hard things as plywood, acrylic, and MDF, then that tells me it can cut just about anything else. Perhaps you should complain to Micro Mark for misleading people with the description of the tool but I meant what I said and suggest people be aware that if you're going it to build a wooden model ship you might want to reconsider.

@@lauckstreet I'm looking at this for cutting designs in gourds. I'm sure you are aware that cutting hardwood is much more difficult than MDF, plywood, greenwood, etc.

I bought this knife and I have NEVER seen such a LOUSY produsct. It can cut very thin paper, but at every thicker matarial, it stops after 3mm with an overlaod warning. What sou see in the video is NOT what you get. Also resseting the product does not help. My advise: do not buy

Haha zero percent chance. Ultrasonic cutting is literally useless against hard materials.
@BohumirZamecnik2 жыл бұрын
@@HCG Check the ultrasonic cutter for jewel stones. They are pretty hard.
