Sawadika! Greeting from Japan

I haven't ever seen someone freehand a chain saw like this and maintain such accuracy! I compliment this gentleman for skill and endurance to produce these boards! Well Done (Sir)!

Best way to ruin any 2 stroke by piston scoring and ring gauld in the cylinder wall into fire it up cold and immediately run it wide open like that. Always allow a 2 stroke to warm up under idle before applying a load to the engine. Takebit from me, I rebuild them all the time. Great video btw. 👍👍
Key is to watch the chap sharpen his chain - he's running the file at a very low angle - just off 90', maybe a 10 or 15 degree top tooth instead of the usual 25-30 degrees, making in effect a semi-square chisel chain. Then look at the rakers - he has them ground to nubs.. Those 2 factors produce a super-aggressive & very straight cutting chain, but one that will also kick-back like a donkey if you snag the tip. It will rip along the grain very efficiently & keep nice straight lines. I know this as I sharpen my chain the same & cut all my own timber using just the saw. But I ain't as steady handed as this chap - he's unreal. I cock up more & there are digs & gouges, however the more & more I cut, the better & smoother/straighter I get, You need a lot of hours of doing this to get the results this chap gets - but it does show what's possible using simple methods. Some people - like this chap, have a built in spirit-level - I personally don't. :-) This work - easy as it looks, is also murder on the back & arms. It must be even worse in the heat they're ^ in.

I run 15' with a jig flat. Take the rackers down accordingly. I mostly only cut Hardwood freehand. Right now I'm doing an 80 year old star apple tree. Its as hard as Brazilian cherry= walnut.
Best I've seen so far. I cut boards freehand as well but without creating a flat side for marking, just straight down from the top as it sits; roughly a quarter inch each pass from the trunk-side outward.
Let's not forget the camera guy he is the MVP getting all the shots like that other guy with the saw getting all the cuts LoL 😂 the other guy sets down really good 😊👍 lmao 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 jk
