Most sensible analysis. I am telling you because I myself wrote multiple mains both UPSC/KPSC. The paper looks easy this time around. But it's difficult, neither moderate never easy as many of these coaching institutes are claiming. My observations. 1) 24 new format questions are there in the first paper alone ( Like only 2 statements, only 3 statements correct etc). Its a tricky way of asking choices. When upsc introduced such questions, cutoff dropped, by ~10 marks. 2) UPSC experimented with this new style of questions. If I am not wrong, less than 10 Qs were there in paper 1. Ridiculous to ask 25% of the paper 1 this way by kpsc. I disin't count such Qs in paper 2 yet. 3) Compared to UPSC trend, Its easy to predict that cutoff will come down by 10 marks at least. But anyone who understands how base effect works in economics, will agree that cutoff will be 15 to 20 marks less than previous one. (We are calculating cutoff for total 400 marks here, unlike UPSC which conducts prelims for only 200 marks, CSAT being qualifying in nature ) So, for GM I think the cutoff will be ~170 or lesser slightly. Again my analysis alighning with your predictions. Fingers crossed
