Great to have this information, but I'd really like to see this done with a busy background. Generally, you only get a photo like this created in a studio. For practical purposes, you would have to set up this type of image. You wouldn't always have the option to put a white background behind a bottle, or a wine glass before shooting. Can I assume a bottle or wine glass with a busy background would not be a good candidate for this procedure?

@PhotoshopTrainingChannel3 жыл бұрын
Thank you, HowieD1975! You could either clone or use the Spot Healing Brush Tool. Or you could darken it with an adjustment layer and mask it so that it only affects the bright areas.

Can someone explain please how did he fix the solid area on 6:30, like he didn't fiz anything in the layer mask of the group he just made a normal layer and used white as if he is inside the mask, is it because of the blending mods applied to the layers above it that kept it the same as the original ?
@kingkangageo3 жыл бұрын
I too struggle to understand this. And I also guess that it has to do with the blend modes. Maybe we should study his video about blend modes to understand the interaction.
@PhotoshopTrainingChannel3 жыл бұрын
Omar, painting with white makes the original pixels come back because of the way the Multiply Blending Mode works. The oversimplified explanation is that Multiply gets rid of white and bright pixels. So by painting with white you bring back what it takes away.

@@PhotoshopTrainingChannel just another question, if we paint with white cuz the multiply blend hides the whites so it gor revealed back, but we have a screen blending mod also shouldn't it hide whites so when we paint should stay without any changes ?

Hello Jesus! I didn't find an answer to my question in the comments, so I would be glad if you could help me. If I save the file with the transparent object as png, the transparency doesn't remain after I open it and try to put another BG. Do you know the solution for that? Thank you in advance!

Hello Jésus, first of all I'd like to thank you for all the free tutorial available on your channel. These are very good and well explained techniques that helped me a lot! I have a problem I'm struggling with and can't seem to find a solution.. How can I make it that the picture on my computer is exactly the same on my phone? Thanks a lot!

Jesus, This is great, thx! Are the initial transparency masking steps (prior to adjusting the light - which would be scene specific) ones that could be made into an Action? Or, would the action only replicate the select shape of the initial transparent vessel used to create the action?
@PhotoshopTrainingChannel3 жыл бұрын
If the background is white I suppose that you could make an action. You will need to refine your layers and adjustments but you could set it up as a way to get you started faster.
@samartography26 күн бұрын
Followed the steps but it never actually got rid of the white fill in the transparent bottle.
@Nuan076 ай бұрын
So one problem I found with this approach is it's not really transparent outside of the document. I want to export the element as PNG and use it in another program where the exported graphic retains all of it's alpha channel properties. You can tell if your image is truly transparent by checking if you can see the checkered background, not just another image behind your glass. I've achieved a similar effect in black and white by going into blending options and under the blend if section, Alt click and hide mid tone shadows and highlights on separate layers. But now I'm struggling to add colour back in, to colour the glass and retain the graphics true transparency. Does anyone have any ideas?
@hill8s3 жыл бұрын
At Highlights for me, when I switch to Screen, it does not make any transparence for my subject, why?
