I bought two of these "top liner-lock" models and I own 5 Raccoons all together. It really is, IMO, one of the best all-around pocket knives you can buy regardless of price. I really hope they make a larger version eventually and do the cleaver blade with this lock.

The Raccoon has some nice aesthetics in blade shape and design. Something I’ve been wondering for quite a while now, do you put any type of compound on your strop, or are you able to bring the edge back with just the leather? I can’t tell if that’s build up or diamond emulsion on your strop.

I own this one and the top lock Hedgehog and both lock up super solid. Doesn't feel like a typical button lock

If you trust spydercos compression lock then you can more than likely trust this. It’s not a plunge lock

I think their issue isn't with the strength of the lock up. I think it jas more to do with the buttons being in a spot thats easier to accidentally press in certain grips. Anyway i too loke the knife but have yet to get one myself.
