I’m replying two years later but “Moonlight Shadow” by Yoshimoto Banana, “Yukiguni” by Kawabata Yasunari, “The Sound of Waves” by Mishima Yukio are just a few of the many Japanese modern literature that I read recently. Very beautifully written and you can definitely sense and grasp the profoundly Japanese yet universally understandable perspectives. I also recommend books by Murakami Haruki and Natsume Soseki, their novels are next on my list :)

I'm American (Californian to be exact) and for me the first thing that comes to mind is eyes because they are so unique. Some people have chocolate eyes others have the sky some have galexys for eyes! I could honestly talk about them for hours. A beautiful woman would have soft hair like a pillow or like a bridal veil and a sweet pure smile that was full of light. A beautiful man would have soft hair and he wouldn't be afraid to wear makeup or paint his nails or have dresses (Seriously guys that don't care about gender roles are super hot to me)
