This is not just a stupid noise, this is your dog struggling to breathe! He/she might have asthma or another lung condition, you should get a check up at the vet. It might be nothing but a stubby nose, but if he/she does this a lot it could be very harmful.

It's actually very normal for flat faced/short nosed dogs. The flaps in their nose can make it hard to breath sometimes, but usually it doesn't mean harm to the dog itself. The best thing you can do is put the dog outside and give him fresh air.

My dog was doing same kind of noise and we just thought he is being funny,we took him to the vet and was diagnose with heart condition, long story short he got a bad infection of the lungs and made his heart condition even more worst.I was devastated when we had to put him down.😓 i miss my chichi so much🙏

This is called reverse sneezing. Very coming to flat face dogs and small breed. It is not funny. But not emergency either. You need to close the both nostrils to let him swallow to open up the airway and rub under the chin to comfort him.
