poly hair on clawdeen and recently frankie is one of the very few downsides to g3 imo, and honestly i'm curious as to why they keep opting for it. allegedly, it's because that specific color on clawdeen isn't available in saran, but that's such a weak excuse given the amount of hair colors within the doll market. i genuinely hope that after skulltimate secrets they get their act together. lovely review as always btw!!!!

Also such a weird excuse because the new hair color on Clawdeen is one of my least favorite things about the redesign. Nudging it a few shades would only be a win (in my opinion)

Unfortunately clawdeen isnt the only g3 doll with poly unfortunately, Signature cleo and creepover frankie also have poly. I really don’t understand why they keep using polypropylene instead of busing close color matches in saran, it’s pretty universally known how poly is not a good hair fiber. They can say it’s because of lack of colors of saran but it still feel like its a budgeting issue, giving even frankie now is having dolls with poly, when they have signature hair colors in saran. So sad.

Where are y’all getting the complete and easily disproven misinformation about Cleo and Frankie’s hair types? I’m genuinely very curious although I do think the source of the information is someone infamous for misinformation spread for the sake of profit. The company Mattel uses for hair allows custom colors of saran but there’s a large up-front cost to do so. This never stopped them before so I find it extremely curious as to why they do it for Clawdeen, especially seeing as she has one of the most uh… typical hair colors. I’d understand if maybe the purple was poly but for the brown to be… it’s strange

@@xCanadensis core frankie has saran, it’s widely known. But creepover frankie has poly. Im not saying frankie wont have saran again or that they originally didn’t have but creepover is straight poly and i can tell from touching it. Its the same with cleo. Core cleo has straight poly while the fearleading pack one has saran. It just seems to me Mattel picks and chooses when to give saran or poly to some characters, and tbh this is pretty detrimental to the brand from my personal point of view because I don’t want to have to reroot or do the most to “tame” hair that was supposed to be good quality from the beginning. Specially considering these are for children that are going to absolutely touch and mess up the hair, i can imagine their struggle. Its sad to see they don’t really care abt putting out the best products possible.

@@jdollies1971 i feel you so much! mattel is not putting their best foot foward with g3 like the ghoul spirit 6 pack, chunky plastic pompoms, cleos dress doesnt continue all the way around, only 1 character is wearing heels! did mattel forget this was a fashion doll? whys everyone wearing sneakers? and the creepover line has faults too, like plastic pompoms on clawdeens robe? why? the three main ghouls are all wearing the same pjs (shirt, pants, robe) like the designers couldn't come up with a different jammie for each ghoul? draculauras the only one with interesting hair, why couldn't they give clawdeen and frankie braids/buns, and why not give clawdeen a bonnet to sleep in? plastic pillows. i understand we cant expect mga quality from mattel but come on! id rather pay the extra 10$ for a higher quality product.

@@georgiaalford9714 I saw someone say they probably used plastic pom poms on the Creepover robe because regular ones pop off or get misshapen so easily, which I can certainly get behind. That's the only thing I'll defend though lol

For the price- I need to see her with good quality hair at the least. $5 barbies can get saran in many different colors- i think ive literally seen this purple color in saran on cheaper barbies many times. It can't be that hard!!

I only want the creepover clawdeen for the pillow. So unless I find a good clearance I’ll have to hope it shows up in the thrift store. These being said I would personally trade some of the accessories for stands. While the accessories are cute they are easily lost.

Personally I'm happy to use my own stands and not have to pay more because I definitely feel like they'd up the price if they added stands or take away some accessories

My local shops finally got the first G3 dolls and I’m surprisingly liking Clawdeen the most. I was sure I’d liking Draculaura the most but I’m not really that into her in person.

i am so sad that clawdeen has poly hair... when i got the basic clawdeen from gen 3, her hair looked so gross so what i did to fix it was cut a little off the bottom and wash her hair with shampoo and i put conditioner on her hair and brushed it out with a comb. the next day i brushed through it and it felt so soft.

I love the hair tbh. I know that hair isn’t like the bestest quality but I think for people who are just collecting and not playing it isn’t a big deal. But I hope they do change it for the sake of kids who will play with them. 😢

honestly i love g3 ive grown on it sm! at first i was annoyed w frankie being more blue and lagoona being pink cleo not having brown hair duece being green ghoulia being green i was irritated at all that bc i didnt want change to my childhood but now that ive given it a chance i love it smm especially lagoona! and frankie is so cool

I always thought most of G1 had kanekalon hair. Just curious since me and my daughter just got into doll collecting recently and it’s a first time for either of us to be in the box collectors. I read that there is times when keeping the doll in box actually can be more harm than good, would love for you to make a video describing the best ways to be an in box collector. Since you have so many amazing dolls that are all perfectly preserved. I fully understand if you don’t have the time to make one any time soon.Thank you so much for sharing and best wishes always.

I’m not the person to ask about in box collecting because I unbox 99% of the dolls in my collection! I’m pretty sure the only way to guarantee their safety is to huge them in a temperature controlled closet with no light but that doesn’t prevent issues like glue seepage for monster high. It would be fun but I don’t think I’m a good candidate unfortunately. I just hope for the best with mine

@@xCanadensis I understand that completely, right now I have mine in a huge cardboard box and was contemplating how to go about displaying after reading like you mentioned glue seepage, and also something about them becoming greasy looking from lack of air flow? I was floored because I was under the impression that keeping in the box was the safest way but you know how that goes you find one article and down the rabbit hole and it’s so easy to get more confused because many articles contradict each other. I can’t wait for these creep over party line to show up on store shelves. I also am quite pleased with how the reboot launched and things will just get better I think from here on out. I also wish that they would somehow figure out how to incorporate the stands again, maybe include 1 less accessory from the box and maybe the pets in most cases. I do love the storytelling accessories and the pets but we don’t need a gazilion pats in the same pose or the same foodies the accessories should be as different as the dolls for them to be in the box if that makes sense on what I mean.

I preordered her, by mistake canceled her. Bought her again and the store canceled , I bought her for a third time and package is delayed in shipping. She's hard to get and prices have been rising from other sellers at main retellers. I got an extra draculaura during my mistake on orders. I ended up keeping. Even grown men don't think these dolls are that bad. If it was barbie they probably would have..ours are mainly for the grandkids to enjoy while visiting. That's acceptable to the guys..I like how they can style the hair when they get older..

So I actually really like this Clawdeen, but I feel like her purples are all over the place 😭 she has like three different purples in her outfit and then the purple in her hair and make up don’t match any of the other purples and then she has a coral lip for some reason I don’t know what they were thinking, mixing all of those colors 💀

Omg what the heCK i just got home with my creep over clawdeen and I thought something was off, and she has nO MAKEUP. No eyeshadow at all 😭😭 I saw them at the store and thought their eyes were off but assumed I was remembering wrong but nO the eyes are just missing makeup. i cRY. Now i gatta buy a whole other doll! 😭😭 ((im keeping this one but I wanted the pink makeup *weeps*))

@@xCanadensis omg youre totally right!! I never managed to get any dead tired dolls way back in the day so i forgot!! Now i actually am really thrilled I got this variant, and excited to pair her with the regular one eventually. I also love variants I just usually dont know about many doll ones. Im more savvy with MLP variants! 😆 I got her from walmart if you wanna check to see if yours has any variants. I was super surprised they had any creep overs since theyre usually so behind with toys coming in here. The Twyla i got today has a small factory mess up where the machine missed a few hair holes, i was like oh COME ON 🤣 so the makeup-less Clawdeen had me on edge for a hot sec lol
