Regardless of who you’re a fan of I think we can all admit that a) it was very close and b) the hate that Derek has gotten simply because he won a close decision is unwarranted. We as fans need to be more respectful of these athletes.

Not really. Its not hate if you have valid criticism. Hadi got robbed, simple. You can see in Derek's body language as he posed, he knew he didn't peak right. Last year he didn't give af and he was just happy to be there and his energy was totally different.

I was IMPOSSIBLE to not see the sponsors(so check the taking care of sponsors box) AND there was the PERFECT back drop for the athletes(so check the taking care of the viewers and athletes) EVERYONE WINS. Now of course we can put a modern day upgrade on this approach but it takes care of all involved!

It was very close, those guys battled. They're team mates, which made it even better! The more I look back at pictures and videos, the more my eye goes towards Hadi, especially on the front and side shots. But ultimately the judges had the best look. They made their decision, whether we're happy with it or not, it's final. That's what sport is. We won't always be happy with the judges decision, we won't always be happy with that ref, we won't always be happy with the umpire. That's how it is, can't please everybody. The judges don't have an easy job, people. Just appreciate that these guys are training hard year round to give us a show.

they could just put up a half inch little step/barrier instead of a drawn line. If that don’t work, electrocuted metal step

Nathan’s and Iain could have barreled with Hunter and Krizo for 5-7. Would have been crazy to see. Then drop those 1 placing If Nick didn’t get hurt!

Love these guys I thought it is a good analysis. I thought Samson was more overall body builder lee priest said it correct. But I be happy with any of the 3 guys to win

Very much looking forward to the day OG body builders are actually happy...in 10 years Arnold will be Dana White and the Olympia will be Blockbuster... Look at F1, UFC, etc. Olympia is not evolving and needs to be sold.

I prefer seeing abs/obliques/serratus for open class rather than a vacuum pose. For Classic and lower vacuum is fine but you NEED a solid midsection for open, at least imo. The only one with a solid mid section was Hadi and that's what sealed the decision for me, Derek had all back and Hadi all front, with the mid section tipping the scales in favour of Hadi, that's how I had it. With that said I was happy for Derek and disappointed in Hadi leaving early, especially since Derek is his friend and team mate.

Milos saying that Dorian has no clue since he is doing Yoga now is hilarious. Dorian’s analysis on the Menace podcast was spot on. Milos is just the most biased coach there is. The top 3 was very close, though.

If ANDREW could work on posing especially side chest bicep and bring up legs a little, he has the special wow factor that makes him stick out amongst everyone and his legs are improving. His overall package is scary!! Great show this year, Congrats Derek!!!!

He has the best looking body but he so far behind from the back. He won’t beat the top guys unless he makes dramatic improvements like Phil did on 2012

Good point!! I kind of agree. Honestly I think he just needs to get a little bigger all around!!!!! But he has that aesthetic eye draw factor that nobody has on stage with him. In my opinion ONLY!! @@keaninishigaya6761

I agree with the peak times for the Mr. O...this is the main event and we want to see the men at their absolute best...I don't think anyone deserved to win with this conditioning...Noon on Friday and Noon Saturday would be best! then call them out at 8:00 for the pose down and awards! Regan is massive!

Perhaps the problem with the lighting, is that it is setup to shine towards them standing on the line ....but by the second pose they are in the 1st row of the audience and the light is shining behind them ! They should penalize them for the steps or put a long wooden plank down on the stage. Nobody is judging feet , so they can be MADE to stay behind the line.

They should remove points, get them out of call out, or even disqualify for stepping over that line while posing
