This whole story was just idiotic. A power like that renders all the deaths and their impact meaningless. I am not going to bother explain you all's tik tok arguments but nowhere else did a Mary Sue like mavuika literally do random bs and disabled the freaking death with no consequences and is still praised as a valid plot ( atleast other archons had their non-human features to balance their rational with coldness but mavuika has a human heart). Do neither of you understand how fantasy works? Just how stupid it is to allow resurrections that don't change the characters one bit. The moment one the few things that join our world to the fantasy is compromised that's when the fantasy stops being art. Even freaking Naruto shows more respect to wars and death than this.

Probably because i choose different route on that part. i just looked through the Ars Goetia to check if its a Demon name, and it turns out "Aim" was also sometimes referred to as "Haborym," which matches the 3 letters of censored text in the 5 star Pyro gemstone ascension material's description. so Haborym is 100% Mavuika's Demon name. for those interested, the paragraph i found straight copied and pasted from the Wikipedia page (which i would just leave the link, but KZbin tends to automatically remove comments with links imbedded in them): "Aim (also Aym or Haborym) is a Great Duke of Hell, very strong, and rules over twenty-six legions of demons. I finally felt the stakes were actually high after all the way since Liyue finale. Idk why but Inazuma "war" and Sumeru (Specifically Scars being the final boss) hit like a wet noodle and rushed. Fontaine was good but very individual character focused around Neuv/Furina. Natlan finally makes me feel the threat affecting EVERYONE and everyone noticeably doing their parts, and NPCs don't ruin it.

The buildup and payoff of this whole war sequence was a hundred steps up from what we had in Inazuma. It felt like there were real stakes at hand and seeing the battle report get worse each time was pretty dreadful. And then having this cutscene as the climax was just chilling to say the least.

But they can certainly implement the same thing as Natlan's and show the gravity of the situation like bodies all over Yashiori, Kannazuka, a dedicated scene where we get to witness watatsumi's camp getting overwhelmed with waves of injured soldiers calling medics If you want more badass scene like kazuha parrying off Raiden's attack, I could imagine the shogunate actually using the kamujina cannon (those giant electro cannons) to destroy their positions, then Beidou parries off that giant cannon and send it back at them (like her E), then you reveal the whole crux fleet. Next a dedicated cutscene of Kujou Sara vs Gorou or Kazuha to show how skilled Sara is as a combatant, she didn't get a chance to shine and already got oneshot by Signora (I'm leaning on Sara vs Kazuha because of potential emotional impact it could bring, because Sara got Kazuha's friend killed, defeating Sara in the fight could bring some conclusion to Kazuha's motivation, then we finish it off with him parrying Raiden's strike, concluding his friend's motivation) Oh yeah, idk if it's possible to do it (if anything this paragraph directly contradicts the previous paragraph about Kazuha's friend), but what about omitting Teppei and replace it with Kazuha's friend instead? You want to give The Traveler a reason to fight the shogunate? Make Kazuha's friend stand up in front of the shogun after we lost the fight, Kazuha's friend sacrificed his life to save the traveler, which I think works better than Ayaka's guilt tripping Traveler into helping the shogunate (Meaning the prologue act of inazuma would have Kazuha and his friend participating in the crux fleet brawling competition or whatever they're called) Oh, also add a scene showing naval battles too, I saw shipwreck everywhere so surely they need to show naval battles too But of course, hoping for Inazuma reboot is just a wishful thinking, reprogramming everything is just not worth it at this point and totally understandable

0:45 is an actual cinema, light vs dark and light is starting to overwhelm the darkness I love 1-2 hours straight of literally nothing but war and it's really intense. The intensity rises up and never go down until the end. Also in the cutscene before this, when all the fatuis are charging into the abyss, there is no clear slashing or hitting. It's just them bodying into the enemies, reminds me of the battle of bastards. Me in 5.0 was like "Uwahhh, cutie patootie Saurians" and then 5.1 hits me like a truck. All those cutie patootie dying. Literally dead bodies everywhere. Even the big saurian. People starting to mentally break down and starting to despair Knowing all x.1 versions archon quests are not that good, I didn't put that much hope in this version It's the nature of war and Hoyo was able to show it perfectly. This is probably the most intense archon quest ever.

What I like the most about this is that we finally experience the thing that happens. We are literally in an invasion or catastrophe identical or similar to the ones we can't see or play through, like the warrior spirits in the second shogun story quest going on about how the war effort is going and how they'll fight to the end. Not to mention, Fontaine's flooding climax was portrayed through a cutscene, rather than us actually fighting and watching an actual war against the abyss here.

You just can't be an anemo vision holder and having to gain ancient hero's recognition to boot without suffering massive loss.

Because you are a lore skipper. All the archons have done great deeds on behalf of their nations. Their trials and great feats happened hundreds of years ago, we didn't witness them. Doesn't mean they didn't happen. Venti led a revolution against oppressive rulers, Zhongli and his adepti protected Liyue citizens and led the Milileth who kept the Abyss back at the Chasm. Even Ei was in the frontlines fighting while her twin sister stayed back in Inazuma. ALL of the original archons had great feats under their titles. They can't become archons if their people didn't entrust their beliefs in them. This comment is stupid.

Or if you think about it in the other way around, the Traveler would be the one resurrecting Mavuika as she, in exchange for Ronova’s deal, would face her death, and may transfer their nation’s powers to the Traveler to gain the blessing of the Pyro element and archonhood. Thus, enabling him/her, along with the will of Natlanese people, to resurrect her using the Ode of Resurrection one last time, as a variable that is outside the weave of fate of Teyvat. Which is maybe why only the Traveler and Mavuika will be the main role in the next patch (based from the ending dialogues about facing the main source of abyss of this current patch)

Paimon made me cry in this quest, the VA made a great job giving so much emotion to what was actually going on during the war. This shows how important is to actually have real people actually acting and putting their own emotions into a scene or events in a fictional character in a game. The difference between having an actual soul to not having one at all in a dialogue. (yeah referring to what is happening with some VA's, sad to not hear Kachina and Kinich in the dialogues between characters)

It was already peak in fontaine and they continue the peak in Natlan, seeing how good it is I can't wait to see what Snezhnaya as in store especially since they have my most anticiped lore and stuffs - the Fatui - but before that let see if 5.2 is really about Durin like some people speculated since the tease of Simulanka. Seeing the fake sky and the moons corps for the first time was chilling too, we should ask the Harbingers ( Dottore, Pierro and Scaramouche know more about it ) and have some answers ( maybe in Snezhnaya or later in 5.x AQ ).

The story is insane and makes me cry the whole time. I fight with abyss asap, and want to save all the ppl at the same time but I cannot!! I wanna save one more ppl but I cannot do that!! The deth count rising keeps me crying. I know they are not the real ppl, but I just want to save them. This cutscene was outstanding. I had faith that the hoyo team would deliver an archon quest surpassing Fontaine but not only were my expectations met but EXCEEDED. The Natlan cast really has grown on me, I love them because they feel like family the same way Sumeru did. 5.3 can't come any sooner! Edit: I realised that the way I phrased this implies that I believe that the Natlan Archon Quest is objectively better than the Fontaine Archon Quest. It's my PERSONAL opinion that Natlan was better and I still love Fontaine very much. No hate to what you like y'all! 😆

@@racool911 Interesting. Fontaine's writing as a whole definitely was good, but it was the final act that really pulled me in. Imo, Natlan has made me care more consistently about the characters across quests, whereas for Fontaine it was kinda 50/50 for me on how much I liked a character. I'm just glad that mid way through this quest its this good, I can't imagine how they'll top this in the end.

Navia and Neuvilette are great but its kinda odd for me when some of them get lots of development and others just kinda fade into the back (charlotte, siegwienne, etc). I find Natlan's story really nice even if it didn't have a huge twist like fontaine did at the end. Though I suppose expecting development fairly for all characters is a bit much. Also, I've been looking forward to Natlan since I watched the travail teaser so perhaps I'm biased haha

I'm so glad she didn't magically resurrect everyone who had already died before the ode was complete. I got so tired of Genshin's fake-out deaths that end up meaning nothing because some plot device brings them back. The fact that all those people are staying dead just increased the stakes of the war and made the abyss that much more of a ferocious enemy.

I only play this game for a short period of time, and I like this. My wife said that this game is 4 years old and I told her that good work does not matter about time. I can tell, all work have been people putting heart on to make it and so this is why it is good and can keep on. Perhaps new technology or funding can make something, but people's effort and love of working on is what the soul really is. Without that, any game could eventually become boring and only money seeking but more and more difficult because people only do the job. I saw some game companies fail simply because they live with that and not wiling to make something good, even once a while they could be popular. This video is about team and this is not only game but also reality. I do not want to mention but please consider the value of the voice actors. Something valuable is there and not could be replaced.
