@@Dubs22005 I think what actually happened in this figh is that no one was gonna use their powers since it's a nonlethal duel. The boss figh an it's mechanics aren part o what canonically went down. When Arle was satisfied she started usin powers to end the duel. If she hadn I'm pretty sure her an the Traveller are at least equal in martial skill. They're equally as speedy an likely the only difference in physical strength is Arle's heels givin a height advantage (remember that a thick stone floor broke before the Traveller did after a god gundam tried to smash em). Honestly the main trainin montage we need is one where the Traveller overcomes their weakness to the various things that are shown to jus knock em ou includin but not limited to taint gas, the soun o 10,000 mosquitos weaponized by Dottore, an eye contact.

She even mentions that Pierro instantly figured out her past and history (him being a Khaenri'ahn royal mage himself from the Eclipse Dynasty). Her powers are based on the balemoon bloodfire that runs through her veins from her bloodline. If she had been stronger than Capitano, Pierro would've known, and we would have an indication of it. Even without all this, we already know from in-game lore that the Moon Goddess is just one of the shades (subordinates/lesser offspring) of the Primordial One. Therefore even if she were a reincarnation of the Moon Goddess, she wouldn't be as powerful as a complete dragon sovereign, who were direct challengers to the Primordial One.

There's a reason why Arlecchino chose the path of peaceful negotiations instead of just forcefully obtained the Hydro Gnosis, and that's Neuvillette. She might have a chance pre-archon-quest but after archon quest it's would just be Neuvilette speed blitzing her. Tsaritsa knows it too that's why she chose Arlecchino as the one for the mission. Tsaritsa learned from her mistake that sending Harbingers to fight Archon doesn't always end well after Inazuma. Signora was supposed to have a peaceful delegation with the Raiden Shogun but the moment she chose violence (invoked by her underestimation against the Traveler), she was doomed to die and Arlecchino probably figured that would be the case after she saw how Childe got one-shotted.

This fight really shows a concerning picture for The Traveler. Even after obtaining five of the seven Elements they still stood no chance against the FOURTH Harbinger. It just begs the question what exactly is The Traveler going to do against Capitano let alone The Big Three Harbingers? Because it's made very clear that just obtaining the remaining two elements is just simply not going to cut it.

@@Esengan If you'd paid attention to the story... that "giant energy sword" was the combined power of all the wishes of the people whose visions had been stolen. Every single big fight the traveller has had actually, we've been carried- HARD- by other peoples' power. Against Osial, it was the adepti powering us up. Against osial's wife, shenhe was there with us. We fought Childe mono e mono, but we didn't win, he just left when he realized we didn't have the Gnosis. Signora lost, I suppose, though she was finished by Raiden. We literally lost against god-form scara what was it... over 10k times? Using mental simulations. Nahida and Sumeru's "knowledge" is what carried us through that. I could go on but point remains. I think the argument for why we didn't use elemental power is that we weren't trying to hurt Arlecchino, just protect the kids but... that would be a pretty weak argument considering how INSANELY strong she is.

Tartaglia lost because he was overconfident he could force the Traveler to spill out the Gnosis' location, ultimately underestimating the Traveler's resilience, his own much lesser by comparison. It stands to good reason that a vicious, cunning, cold-blooded lady that can fool her prey into debilitating themselves is something the Traveler would be at least at odds with them if not capable of exploiting every inch of the Traveler's hubris.

Gonna be honest... The fight looks great as it really showcases the true strength of the 4th harbringer and how close the Top 3 are in god levels. Unfortunately this scene has an Achilles' Heel and once you notice it, the entire fight falls off. Arlecchino may herself say that she was holding back but looking in further, it looks like everyone has holding back.The Siblings weren't even planning on full offensive towards her at all. Freminet literally changes his strike to make it non fatal the last second. Which is totally understandable because they don't actually want to kill her. However for the Traveller though... He was severely holding back and it doesn't make any sense why. For starters he doesn't use a single element... Which I wished he did because at least it would look like he's trying. And before you guys say it wouldn't make difference... Look at how he fights against Scaramouche vs how he fights against Arlecchino. He runs fast like a cheetah, jumped 100 ft in the air and literally tanked Scaramouche slamming him to the ground (I'm pretty sure that arm must weigh a lot). He fights so aggressively against Scaramouche that it makes no sense why he fought grounded and more defensively against Arlecchino. Either way this is a terrible way of showcasing how strong your opponent is by purposely weakening our protagonists. The fight looks like Arlecchino use her vision (and delusion) against 4 visionless fighters, one who is an adventurer while the other is a magician with a parlor trick, which makes Arlecchino less stronger than she should be.

I get it - Nr. 4, very strong - but the Traveler has impressive feats up his belt as well. Sure, many fights were with help of others, but even then, wasn't the traveler the one at the centre of it all? Every arlecchino simp is just trying to find excuses as to why he lost so pathetically. But he didn't even try to use magic, neither electro for speed, nor geo for protection, nor anemo to fight her in the air, nor even hydro to weaken her thread blades, etc. Even if you consider that her blades are a special fire, fire is still fire and water will weaken it anyway.
