Hi, I know the video is rather old, but do you perhaps have the gcode used to cut the helical gear? Would be interesting to have it as starting point. Thanks a lot

Ive run it with Brass... but steel requires changing the depth of cut and speed significantly... Sherline Lathes and Mills are great... but rigidity suffers. so cutting anything in steel (or cast iron) or any other exotic metal requires significant changes...

No special CAM.. this is done with LinuxCNC and programmed by hand. Once you understand CNC programming, simple shapes like this can be cut efficiently.
