Always love sharing how I trim, prune , cut back my seedling plants... sometimes they get out of hand pretty fast.. a good way to help them grow in more dense is to trim them back.. may be hard for you to do but so worth it..

The white peacock - wow! The dog and cats relaxing at home. The good life! -- Now I need to see if I can rescue the zinnia tops I tossed over the garden fence, lol. Never thought to put them in water! Good to know.

Last year I grew giant zenias a few grew little over 5 feet. I planted them between my tomato plants. I think they loved the tomato fertilizer I had used. They root so easy. Had a storm last year they broke I just stuck them deep in the soil all 15 rooted. They get white bumps like tomato plants. I'm in Ohio about 3 miles from Lake Erie zone 6b.

Do you plant one seed at a time or do you scatter them on the soil? Im amazed how much they grow in that shallow soil. I have some in 6 inch containers and they dont look happy at all. They look like miniature zinnias and barely growing. Maybe something im doing.

With these seeds I plant on at a time in the cells as shown.. works great and they usually grow pretty good until planting outdoors...
