I need to get this done at my house. A long time ago the city had put cement in front of our house but they did not leave an opening. We ended up leaving that house and did not make a big deal about it. Now we have moved back and there is more people living on that street with more cars. Now it's crucial that we get an opening on our property so we can pull our cars into our property instead of leaving them park on the street.

@@Ramiro63 yes 5 grand just to get permits and cut the curb here in denver the curb has to be warranted by the company who cuts the curb

Question do you need to get a City permit if you want to cut the side walk to make your driveway wider

In most cities the answer is yes, you need a permit. And most will not allow it. The only way to find out is go to your city hall and ask.
