I watch all the “woodhound” channels but what I like best about you is that you have the most orderly and best organized woodyard on utube, and you don’t need a lot of fancy, high priced splitters, conveyors, tractors etc., you just rely on what you have combined with a “nose to the grindstone” work ethic to produce great firewood. Jeremiah, that was an absolute clinic on how to use "the perfect stick"! That's my favorite firewood measuring tool as well. I like how you reused that shipping container to measure firewood deliveries too. Nice shirt, by the way. I still like the zip tie method for measuring 16” never have to put it on/off it’s always there , cheap, effective, and flexes out of the way when needed

Jeremiah here a little trick on cut up 🆙 small round in the wood 🪵 yard . Take a big block off firewood 🪵 cut a big V into it for cut your small rounds make it more saver plus better for your back to . 😊

I’m curious about a set up and its practicality. Matt is always looking to reduce his handling of service wood, so I’m wondering if it would be possible to configure a trailer that had room for several totes and a splitter. In residential areas, you could trailer to the site and work all of the wood as Matt cuts to 16”. That way he has less to load and haul and you can split straight into totes that can be offloaded in the yard, ready to season. I’m thinking it would also reduce your handling. It might require a crane mounted in the trailer to lift the rounds to the splitter. Provided that you were sitting on the cash to configure Such a trailer, would that be a viable way to help both Matt and yourself?

It’s a great idea and definitely sounds like it would work! I’m sure Matt’s customer wouldn’t want a full fledged firewood operation going in front of their house. Matt just wants to get the job done and on to the next one as fast as possible. Again great idea David thank you 👍👊

I haven't even begun to advertise wood for sale yet. Too many people sell it for nothing around here. I wait until they're mostly out and sell for a premium price. I do have a few repeat customers that call me in the fall because they know my wood will burn , nd they are tired of getting 'burned' by the cheap guys green wood...😂
