Hi Mark, Congratulations on reaching the 40k subscribers, excellent and extremely well deserved 🍻👍👍👍. Another great real world plumbing film and excellent use of the press fit on the under floor job. As we said before, all applications of connecting pipes have their place, have a great week and as always take care, regards Chris 👍👍👍

Great little emergency. Call out for the Tylers and some more of that team working and banter that just makes this channel. If you get a minute you should create a short with how you got that radiator to heat up as I think as a standalone clip it would be an extremely useful one in your how to series. Congratulations on the 40,000, hopefully you'll get $50,000 by Christmas this year as it was a bit late this time round

Agree with the press fitting...I trust you could have used another plastic push fit though
@MJTiffPlumbing2 күн бұрын

What if you had automatic air vents would the pressure then hold? Or you gotta shut them

Pool rad - air lock? Will it reoccur?
@MJTiffPlumbingКүн бұрын
Not sure…. Only time will tell
@deathstr0kexorn765Күн бұрын
That’s what I was wondering. The rad might be hot while you’re there but that’s cos you just dragged hot water into the rad while it was filling but what’s gonna happen after a short while? Heats probably gonna drop off and not circulate around that rad. I’d love to know the outcome

would a compression fitting have been better to join that live radiator pipe as will be covered over permanantly with tiled flooring and compression holds up better than pushfit from the push and pull from water pressure changes going through it?
@MJTiffPlumbingКүн бұрын
This had plastic fittings on it for years upto this point, it was more a case of get it and get it sorted for the tiler…. With inserts and fitted correctly there shouldn’t be any issues….. nothing is 100% though
@MichaelHubbard-j6r2 күн бұрын
Hi mark, on the radiator in the pool room. Are them isolation valves helping below the rad and aren’t restricted the flow due to not being full bore?
@MJTiffPlumbing2 күн бұрын
Could possibly be, however the rad has been working fine before this winter 👍🏼

Great video, as always. I'm in no way a plumber, so I'm asking out of curiosity. Why not just use the speed fit instead of both prees and speed? Regs? Or something else?
@MJTiffPlumbing2 күн бұрын
Always good to ask sensible questions mate…. Had to use speedfit to connect to the plastic pipe… then onto copper, had to use press to extend the copper pipe as the plastic wouldn’t reach👍🏼👍🏼 Only way to connect the 2 different pipes

That column rad not getting hot sounds like the system just needs balancing and venting. I don't really understand why you did what you did, all you've done is take loads of inhibitor out.
@MJTiffPlumbingКүн бұрын
Did you see the air coming out….. that’s what had locked it up…. If you knew the size of the house, you would know that I’ve not made a dent on the inhibitor…. They have an indoor pool, that should tell you it’s not a 3bed semi. Also…. After doing what I did it now works…. That’s why I did it😉

That main sink, i would of used a poly fitting and then come up in copper. Dont like using compression straight onto plastic just due to the compression of the olive really bites into the plastic 😊

@MJTiffPlumbing yup I core drilled a plate, inner and outer skins of brickwork the other day and the struggled like fuck to get through the next plate, when I finished I thought to myself why didn't I just go through the last plate with a spade on an extention, I only needed to put 2 x 15mm through 😅
