Cutting metal with PET bottle and laser / bending of laser inside water

A fun physics experiment: guiding and "bending" laser light inside a waterjet using a PET bottle.
Some 130 years after Jean-Daniel Colladon showcased the "light pipe" principle (1884), we perform our take on this experiment and make a waterjet guided laser setup using a plastic PET bottle and a laser to cut though a sheet of metal.

I felt so clever when it 'clicked' for me and I understood that you were using a air jet to protect a water stream that guides a laser beam that makes a cut BUT then this was the next video! Ha, thanks for sharing, you guys have created some really amazing technology!

Thank you. This experiment is to be taken with a grain of salt of course, but it shows that the principles of physics are applicable in large and smaller scale
