for those of you wanting to donate your hair: PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH!! Locks of love donates to alopecia kids exclusively. Also, as of recently, there have been a lot of scandals regarding the foundation (basically they have $6 million dollars worth of hair unaccounted for and they use the hair haphazardly which prevents them from making as many wigs as they have the potential to do. you can look up the details). But please do your research and make sure the company you plan to donate to is credible (application process isn't strenuous) and they have an ethic practice (of which locks of love is lacking). I recommend looking into Pantene Beautiful Lengths or Wigs For Kids.

Don't ever cut your hair out of a sense of guilt. Hair charities have enough hair, way more than enough.

Believe me, it was not out of guilt. I wanted to cut my hair, but at the same time, I had had long hair for so long, that I was scared that I'd regret it and want my long hair back. So if I donated it, at least it wouldn't have just been thrown out afterwards and I could have that in mind if I hated my new short hair. But luckily I loved it shorter so thats great

Tessthellama I understand the desire for change. Long hair is extremely beautiful on most women, but it can be a lot of work. The individual must love it to ultimately keep it that way for life.

A bit after i got it cut like that, I actually cut it shorter, but I kinda regret doing that now, so I'm working on growing it out again haha. - Thanks for the tips w/ the nails and shoes btw!
