The way she reacts when opening agate is like watching someone opening Pokemon card packs and getting a rare card. I’m so glad I found this channel

I think Ariel has such zing and appreciation of what she reveals each time. That's why I subscribed and it's like a happy counterpart to Agate dad's channel, which was my first time watching any cutting of stones and minerals. His same joy at what he finds is so refreshing and real. Personalities that have a platform of "joy and appreciation" of nature and micro geology makes me so very happy to view.

I love watching agates get opened. My favorite is when they open as geodes. Being in New England, my area doesn't have agates or geodes, so I love to see them. I also have been scoping out your etsy store for your buckets, and as soon as they were in stock again, I had to buy one. Christmas shopping is almost done 🎉

That makes me so nervous when you cut those rocks with your fingers so close to the saw. My shaky hands and I'd probably have cut several fingers off doing that. Guess that's why you're a pro!

Diamond blades don't actually cut, but rather grind. It's nearly impossible to cut your fingers on a diamond blade.

It's called a floater when you have that banded or colored area in the middle of the quartz as I understand it. The light floating dots are called platelets by some folks.

Hi Ariel, I like your videos. I just want to let you know that you have been pronouncing Malawi wrong. You’re supposed to say it maLaWi not maWaLi (L before w). It could be seen as offensive seeing that Malawi is actually a country. Keep up the good videos

hey, I noticed that with your cutting technique, you're applying too much pressure/ rushing to cut through the last part. you can avoid chipping if you slow down towards the end
