​@@dagnut the problem of what this tool solved is a problem with high-performance sound systems like those used in big clubs or festivals in combination with turntables and dvs-vinyls. these sound systems generate extreme vibrations which make the signal quality unusable for controlling the software. and there are a bunch of dj's which loves to use turntables instead of cdjs or similar all-digital controllers. for sure there are a few controllers which can reproduce the feeling of a real turntable like the rane dj twelve or the denon dj sc5000m prime but some dj's (like me) prefere the real turntables. also these controllers aren't compatible with every software. for example the rane twelf is only compatible with Serato Dj. some djs prefer record-box dj or Traktor dj. Thhis tool from MWM is compatible to a bunch of dj-softwares. recordbox, serato and traktor are 3 examples. there are a few more dj softwares on the compatibility list

@@KfzmChris I get that but why wouldn't you jsut use needles and a time coded recorded if you want vinyl feel? I played don vinyl for years in the 90s and vibrations have always been an issue

itimmy101 I look at as let the younger generation learn that the Mecca of house music is Chicago, where it all started, and for them to hear the sound of my hometown of Chicago. Grant it I’m 33 but I grew up listening to this on the radio from WTKE, WBMX, WGCI and WBBM. I still listen to all of the old Chicago house mixes and I’m glad younger kids are finding these old records. I embrace it and I’m glad they are recognizing it.

Great techniques, cutz, and skill but since I am a wax junkie I can hear the absence of variation in the back cue sound. It's the same for every sound, which is impossible for wax. This is why wax rules. Of course this make "crate weight" non-important but for the sake of true turntablism that "needle back cue fret noise" similar to "guitar fret noise" to the extremely fine-tuned scratch junkie audiophile is needed for my ear. That's wax still rules. At any rate I love the skill but hate the absence of the core reason scratching is so versatile is not being heard. Plus for cutz and scratching you only need a beat machine and two favorite battle wax weapons. Please advance, but lets keep some wax in the picture!
