Thank you I’m a long time sizzex fan , have big shot and electric and All before that, embossing , and so many dies , but have been iLL , and now just feeling like getting back to quilting, scrapbooking Thanks for wonderful sizzex videos , great to refresh my memory ! I’m going to look at this strip die! Cannot belief how easy it wil be to cut material strips, the store bought ones are really expensive !! For their jelly rolls ! You did a great job teaching us !! Thanks again !

You could even take your ruler and white pen to mark out diagonals to make diamonds with the strips! You really could create some beautiful quilts with this single strip die alone. Love the video!

So helpful and informative, thanks so much. If I want a very long strip I guess I fold the opposite to how you did? ( top to bottom rather than side to side) I just bought the Sizzix pro plus, thanks

Thank you very much for the video. It was exactly what I was looking for. I am a beginner and needed all the information you gave in your video. Now I just need to decide on the Big Shot or the Big Shot Plus. Of course, the extras too! 😊👍

Thank you, very good info, was trying to find out how well this did on fabric (had been looking at Accuquilt) and this one does so much more. You have answered so many questions on how to use it. YOU SOLD ME!

This is a great tutorial. I would love to purchase the Sizzix Big Shot, but is there a source where I can purchase this particular strip cutting die? Does it have a name?
@grandmalovesmebest5 жыл бұрын
Gatorgrammy I have Vagabond 2 (electric) and the strip die. Both came from Sizzix.com. The strip dies are ordered by size, 2 1/2" strips or 1 1/2" strips etc.

I just bought the big shot plus. What do I need to cut fabric using the accuquilt dies? Some sort of extension or adapter? I've looked everywhere and all I find are videos on paper cutting. Hardly any info on cutting fabric. Thanks.

Again thank you so much.Now please tell me how i use my die and how do embossing with folder.How can i send you my dies snap?
@kayashley44465 жыл бұрын
So you are making a straight line mark from the top with a marker......how far down from the top? You said the die is 3/8" from the top so how far from that? Thanks.
@grandmalovesmebest5 жыл бұрын
Kay Ashley yes. That looked more than 3/8", but thinking it through, you might want to be a bit below that to be sure your fabric is cutting all the way from the top. You know you wouldn't want it all hooked together at the top. Does that make sense? Also, you want all the fabric lined up on the straight grain and all the strips/squares lined up straight. If you draw a line parallel to the top of the die, you know you are laying your fabric perfectly straight on or across the die. I Think thats it. 🙆

I have been trying to cut a single layer of satin fabric but it just does not cut it just leaves an impression and I have to cut with scissors, even the thin dies don't cut,what you think is wrong? Or is there some technique?

To much silly talking and video off and on not telling us the truth
@SmittenKitten.8 жыл бұрын
Wow, what an incredibly rude comment! Which "truths" are they not telling "us"?
@grandmalovesmebest5 жыл бұрын
SmittenKitten constructive criticisms are not rude and should not be taken as such. However, I've no clue as to what she is talking about re "truth", although it would be nice if these you tube "instructors" would write themselves a script and not just blabber on and if they would do a practice run so they at least appear competent about whatever it is they think they know. Still, the internet is still in it's infancy and I'm sure the blabbering incompetents will wash out and leave the net a much better place. Till then, we suffer on . . .
