That’s what’s I’m saying. Lots of football people I respect have taken major credibility hit for that one. It would be one thing to say Russ isn’t as good as his 2019 self. It’s another to say he’s worse than someone as marginal of a passer as Justin Fields or wouldn’t be an upgrade over Kenny Pickett and Mason Rudolph and that Tomlin would do worse with Russ than those career backups

The league and every announcer involved have been trying to crush RW with bad press coverage in his last years in Seattle behind what was arguably the worst Offensive line in the league for at minimum his last three years in Seattle. Most sacks in NFL history, was that him or the O line. The league and its announcers always talked as if Russ was playing behind a great O line and it was the exact opposite. I always argued that he hadn't lost anything, that the line was the problem in Seattle. Then he gets to Denver with a first time head coach, first time OC along with a slew of first time coaching staff. He gets to Pittsburgh behind a good offensive line and you see the Russell Wilson who's always been there. Do your thing Russ!

Are you kidding? Kenny Pickett beat Lamar Jackson last year. Lamar had no touchdowns, one interception and a rating of 65.2 Kenny Pickett had a touchdown no interceptions and a rating of 88.5. They both had about 230 yards. So, can Wison beat him? Well, ya. he can. Is it likely? No. But it's a better chance than some think. I am a Steeler fan and I hope Tomlin has that defense ready to shake some things up. And can Wilson throw against the Ravens? He should be able to have some pretty good success. I am looking forward to seeing it.

Stop thinking you know what's going to happen based on the history. Both teams are different. Vastly. This is not Canada calling plays. Or Roman. Lamar has never faced a Wilson led steelers team. Though he did beat him the 2 times he faced him with Seattle. The Steelers have never faced a lamar with this many weapons, or this kind of freedom at the line. Plenty of shows have analysts picking the steelers. Joy Taylor picked them. Greeney picked the Ravens, but 2 of his co hosts picked the Steelers. The Steelers are getting respect. Last game, almost all picks were for the Ravens. Only a couple of people picked the Bengals the week before. These guys happen to believe the Ravens offensive edge is a little bit greater, than the edge the Steelers offense will have against the Ravens defense. It's not ridiculous. They are number one in almost every metric offensively. Top 3, in the few where they're not number 1. Leading in points per game. Yards. Overall points on the season. Top 3 in the red zone. Leading in rushing. That kind of dominance, is an edge for some people. We shall see. Just hoping for a great game where no one gets hurt. And to the victor, goes the current lead of the division. Now Mike Tomlin is top tier, but people were basically saying he was done in Pittsburgh after this year and that he was overrated! Thats what the narrative was! The NFL media does not want to put Russell Wilson on the same level or above as the white QBs they claim are superior (Brees, Rodgers, Manning, Brady,etc) despite what our eyes have repeatedly shown us over the years and despite the Results! When Russell Wilson has a below average situation he has carried those teams to the playoffs. When he has a solid situation he competes for Super Bowls and he makes spectacular plays and throws that very few guys in NFL history can make consistently. The problem with Russ was the same issue with steph curry in the NBA! The old garb had setup artificial rules that were required to be a QB and used those artificial rules to justify why certain guys weren't allowed to play! Its like Trump Supporters saying that they voted for him due to the economy when they were really uncomfortable about the race and gender of the other candidate! Coaches were lying to themselves and telling themselves these guys couldn't play because a QB has to stay in the pocket and running is a bad thing! But the reality is they were preserving a white tradition at QB! No different from a Trump Supporter trying to deny their own racism hiding behind the economy! Russell Wilson was a slap in the face to all of these people as he was short, black, and athletic and could throw the ball better than anyone in the NFL with precise dimes down the field. The owners also wanted to preserve a profitable narrative of white superiority at that position as the All American QB was like a real life super hero! They wanted an Andrew Luck to be the face of the league or a white QB as the business was booming with that model and so they didn't want to take a chance on how America would respond to a black face of the league QB! So after Russ went to 2 SBs, the Seattle Seahawks/NFL gave him a terrible offensive line and castaways at WR for the next 5-6 years! While loading up the front sevens of the teams in his division! Russell was given a huge talent disadvantage, but was able to win games and be competitive while his white counterparts with way better lines, WRs, offensive coordinators, defenses, etc.. were putting up numbers and/or winning and if he was in their situations, he would be winning super bowls and MVPs!

They are elevating Tomlin as a great coach instead of saying Tomlin has a great QB! Denver was an exceptionally bad situation and Russ and an injury in year1 on top of Hackett as head coach! Denvers defense was worst in NFL history through 6 games!
