Would’ve heard the same narrative about Josh Allen if he lost that game. Bills lost the 13 second game bc of their defense. The Diggs drop last year affected their ability to construct a game winning drive. Allowed 38 points to the Chiefs in the last AFC Championship game. Josh is 7-5 with a 23-4 td ratio and is still labeled a playoff choker. Lamar and Josh will both be victim to the same narrative until they beat the Chiefs and win it all no matter how good they play (was the same for Peyton during patriots dynasty). Rooting for both Josh and Lamar to win one in the future🤞🏻

Josh isnt really labeled as a choker. He plays well. The team is what plays bad, more specifically the defense. Lamar, outside of a game or 2, has mostly not played up to an elite standard in the playoffs. Him and the team don't play elite.

@@Jovanni_RuizAllen brought the bills back with 13 seconds left in that one playoff game against the chiefs and lost because his team let him down. The narrative on Allen is he can’t beat the chiefs in the playoffs. We all know Allen is good enough and it’s not his fault he never beat them in playoffs but that’s not the narrative. With Jackson we all know he played good enough to win but the narrative with him is choker in the playoffs. Sometimes the narratives aren’t about race or anything like that. They just are what the media makes them out to be.

It’s crazy how some people are unwilling to critique obvious issues. Lamar is the best athlete in the league and in the top several QB’s. It’s fair to say his 2 terrible turnovers in the first half changed the entire script. He’s the reason why the Ravins won so many games he’s also be the majority of the reason the ravens lost in the playoffs. Still love him but seen the two obvious turnovers that were terrible

Not to mention Allen would've had an int if Coleman wouldn't had tackled Tre before the ball got there and Tre still got the dpi call... it's small things like that, that completely change the course of the game and the narrative. It changed an int or at least a incompletion into a dpi because the officiating crew was incompetent and gave the bills an easy TD when it was either gonna be like i said a pick for Tre or if he knocked it down a 50+ yard field goal. I know Bass is a great kicker but even great kickers miss deep ones, thats a 4-7 point difference for the bills so they should've only had 23-20 points when ravens had 19.

Steve made a great point. Most just don't want to admit they don't like LJ. Because no way so much hate gets thrown at a QB who won most of the games he's played in, in his career. If LJ was a white QB no doubt ppl would say he'll eventually get a SB because of his talent. But bcuz he's unapologetically himself it makes ppl uncomfortable, especially the uncle ruckuses. I never seen so many anticipate on a player to lose when he wasn't viewed in the same light as his peers even with 2MVPs. I'm glad Steve had the heart to say it kuz its ridiculous at this point. He may have outplayed JA, but at the same time Josh didn’t have to do to much to win this game. People say if Mark would have caught the ball to tie the Bills, the Ravens could’ve won in OT. Well that’s something we would never know because there was still a 1.30 left on the clock. The Bills could’ve drove down the field with 2TO left and either put 3 or 6 on the board to win or end up going into OT. So there’s no telling what the outcome would’ve been, if Mark had caught the ball.

When Josh Allen loses in heartbreaking fashion we have to sit here and watch the media and narrative be “what matters is the outcome of the game, and josh Allen is a loser in the postseason”, then these same people will straight up coddle and point to everything other then Lamar Jackson’s poor postseason play when the ravens don’t get it done. Then these same people cry and complain that everyone holds Lamar to this unreasonable standard and claim that he’s unfairly judged because he’s not the only reason they lose, it’s honestly perplexing the hypocrisy. @ I don't think you get it. It's a total team thing. They didn't get him better receivers b/c for the first 5 years of his career he couldn't complete a ball outside the hash and they needed to support him with RBs, TEs and the OL. He's always had a top ranked D (Dilfer didn't need all start WRs to win with a top ranked D). In the playoffs he's been a liability b/c he's not a consistent passer and teams can game play for his running. He's become a guy you just need to keep consistent with and he will give you the ball multiple times. This is similar to how teams played Cutler and Farve. Cutler was a good player, Farve was an all time player. But both would eventually give you the ball. Right now Lemar is that same dude. He's been terrible in the playoffs and his nerves are the reason. The best QBs don't bring that energy to the game.

@ Manning was wildly better than Lemar and still got shit for losing games. All the players get shit if they consistently lose the final game. Hell, even Brady got shit for a period. Farve was trashed over it, ARod, etc. And they were all better than Lemar and way way better in the playoffs. Lemar has shit the bed, he will admit that. He has plenty of time to get better, but just looking at his play and saying the reality isn't hate. It's just facts. It wasn't hate when we all said Romo wasn't good in the playoffs. Wasn't hate when we said it about Cousins, Jeff George, Andy Dalton, Dak, etc, etc. Let's all admit, he's been a great player in the reg season and he's really underperformed in the playoffs and move on.
@werb24
@werb24 12 күн бұрын
Lemar has a sub 80 passer rating in the playoffs. He has turned the ball over at a really high rate. He also has played particularly poorly in the elimination games. It’s not a narrative. It’s reality. He can turn it around but quit calling facts narrative.

The problem is that even though Lamar hasn’t played spectacular the team around him has never played well around him either and a lot of times his teammates fuck ups hurt more than his because he’s always on the verge of overcoming and then his teammates either drop a pass fumble pick up a flag or even get beat off the edge just as the coaches never call a consistent game Lamar quite literally ends having to do shit himself and that then causes his doing too much or forcing decisions not say not hold Lamar accountable but there’s way more information to it
@werb24
@werb24 11 күн бұрын
@@madchanicgarage7673 So this, as opposed to his actual performance in the playoffs, is a narrative to protect him from criticism. He hasn't just "not been spectacular," he's been objectively below average. His players haven't failed him. He's failed the team. In these closeout games he's only broken a 70 passer rating 2 times and 80 once. If was great, but the team was dropping critical passes or fumbling the ball, that would be one thing (yes I know in one game that was part of the issue). But he's not playing well. In closeout games the guy has 6 tds total and 13 turnovers. Doesn't matter how the team around him plays, that's a horrible stat that no other player considered near the top of the league gets close to. Take the other top QBs. Allen has a 101 passer rating in the playoffs. Mahomes, 105 passer rating. Burrow, 93.8 (despite the leagues worst OL and one of the worst orgs in the league). If you take the time to go look, Lemar has one of the worst passer ratings in league history for a player who's made multiple playoff appearances. I love Lemar, I'm a Ravens fan, but we are one of the best organizations in the leagues history. We put great teams around him. We have a great coach, coordinators, and front office. He's the missing link in these big games. He needs to get better. He literally admitted nerves made him make mistakes. That's on him, not the players around him.

Here is why i never liked Jackson, every since he got in the league there was a media bias to him. I will give you an example in this video... at 9:38 that the regular season"S" plural have been so dominate. Lets look at the team records 2024 12-5 2023 13-4 2022 10-7 2021 8-9 2020 11-5 2019 14-2 . Since both Allen and Jackson we both starters the Bill's had a better record than the Raven's in 4 of the 6 seasons. He had some great years in the but also some not so great years. Another example . I live in Buffalo, this week I was listening to a local sport radio show and they had a woman reporter on I think from ESPN. I didn't get her name. She said on air in Buffalo that she felt bad for Jackson and she was rooting for him to win. Ok think about that, read the room , you are talking to the fans of Buffalo and she basically said I was hoping they lost! But I get it that is the narrative plays in almost ever city except for maybe the one she was in. and an example of some but not all of the media bias. Many now are on the don't blame Jackson tour this week. But the same happens to Allen. Which QB was voted the most overrated player in the league. Not Jackson! J Ramsey call Allen "trash" . You talk about why some people don't like some people, Do you think anyone would ever be caught claiming Jackson was trash or the most overrated player. NOPE won't happen or never will.

Wtf unfair criticism has Lamar faced? You can’t be serious. Every top tied qb gets criticized when they don’t show up in the playoffs. Lamar has more turnovers than touchdowns in the playoffs. Put your palm palms down and go touch some grass

Kind of like you making a video of how people compare Ladd McConkey to you? How you guys look so much alike comments? Please, lets just let the game speak for itself. Can't people just be amazing player's regardless of color? White corners, black corners, Polynesian O line, Asian kickers... every ethnicity brings something beautiful to the table. The beautiful thing about football is it's a game that unites us all. Have a wonderful day, it's a beautiful gift. ❤️💛❤️💛

Once again, everyone running to Lamar’s rescue. He’ll be a 45 year old qb, still choking in big games and they will still be like, he’s winning his (25th) MVP, I feel this year is his year! Steve talking like racism or individualism is possibly why Lamar gets questioned is RIDICULOUS.

Steve knows the Black QBs get scrutinized MORE than white QBs! Donovan McNabb stated that in mid 2000's. Prime example: Justin Herbert threw 4 pics, barely heard anything about it. When White QBs plays poorly, he having a bad game, when Black Qbs plays poorly, he is ripped apart.

THIS SEGMENT is why some people root against Lamar. BECAUSE - WE - ARE - TOLD - WE’RE - RACIST - IF - WE - DON’T! Ya’ll not slick, dance around the subtle insinuations - be cute with it all you like. Not happening. Maybe the problem is a woke sports media that thinks it’s their job to police who and what people like or root for. And none of what’s animating woke sports media has anything to do w/ the fans. Ya’ll have been on this crusade since the 2018 draft. Fans don’t draft or give out draft grades (that matter). How about you guys stop treating Lamar like a “Make-A-Wish” kid? Speak about him the same way you’d speak about a Charles Barkley, Steve Nash, Warren Moon, Steve McNair - MVPs who haven’t won a championship - PERIOD! Great but…so far hasn’t gotten it done when it matters. Do your jobs, talk about the mans play on the field and stop psychoanalyzing the crowd - we didn’t fumble the ball, throw an INT, take a critical sack and miss on two 2pt conversions.

Wow, I was a huge fan of you Steve. But pulling the race card is super lame of you bro. Lost all respect for your opinions because you hang Josh out to dry all the time and last year but now Lamar has a star studded team and he’s supposed to get a pass? Again your take with the race card is absolutely disgusting. Why don’t you go to the numbers like you do with Josh? Lamar isn’t the same player in the playoffs and I love how yall act like he turned it on in the second half when Buffalo went super conservative and also controlled the game. You’re officially a clown!

Payton Manning was crucified for 8 years exactly like Lamar because he couldn't get past Brady and win his first super bowl. It's up to the Ravens to make adjustments in 2025 and acquire the pieces to get them past the Chiefs and Bills! They hit the jackpot with D Henry and then they didn't use him enough against the Bills. This is on the HC, these old legendary Coaches need to be on the hot seat as the game is starting to pass them by.
