Awesome John. Quick question - can any sanding sealer be used for the deck as it’s hard to find nitro sealer here in the UK?

Hi, sorry for jumping in John. I live in the U.K. and I use Parr’s Sanding Sealer (Shellac) it’s a great product and hardens the thread nicely ready for sanding down just as John did … hope this helps … regards Nigel 😊

@@nigeldouglas1529 Thanks Nigel. Presume sanding sealer just seals the wood and doesn’t add too much colour to it. Although am I correct to assume you can paint over it but stain doesn’t take to it? Thanks.

@@philsreef746 correct…. The shellac will seal the wood so any stain won’t penetrate it. If you want to stain it a certain colour then stain first and then shellac on top of it. The Parrs shellac dries clear. Yes, you can paint on top of the shellac and it will be a smoother finish because you have sealed the pores in the wood … hope this helps … cheers Nigel

She is definitely getting her beauty. I guess Matt varnish is good as gloss varnish too But no matter what I'm loving the build

This one will have matt and gloss at the same time but in different pieces :)
