I remember the 4070 days. It is a shame what has happened to her. Will she ever be restored instead of sitting in an old train shed in Cleveland. She is all apart, last time I saw her. CVSRR is a great scenic RR. Very glad to have them. Nice footage, thank you, lots of memories here.

The Midwest Railway Preservation Society (current owners of 4070) have been slowly picking away at the engine for the last couple years. They recently had the drop pit at the B&O roundhouse dug out so they can start working on removing the drivers along with the ashpan (4070 is being converted to oil)

I think this is the first video I have seen any B&O freight on the CT&V north of akron

Thanks! It is not often that a 'tourist railroad' gets to play alongside an operating class one railroad. Chessie (B&O) and the various operating crafts made considerable concessions to make all this happen!

Yes, the B&O roundhouse was in the Cleveland 'Flats' the industrial area south of the Terminal Tower. It sure would have been neat to have the CVL train run all the way into downtown but this was a dream never realized. Thanks for commenting.

@@NickelPlateRoadExperience Um, in my closet. Back 'in the day' I shot a lot of 8mm and Super 8 Kodachrome 🙂
