Thanks for sharing. Brings back childhood memories of listening to gospel music on old radio at my grandmother's house and turning my soul to Jesus. Clapping and singing praises in church. Praise the Lord Jesus. ❤

Compared to current wimpy, silly contemporary Christian music, this shines like a million suns in the sky. Thanks for uploading it.

They are wonderful !Their songs are truly about the Lord and what He means to the world. This is my profile picture of my daughter and me. God brought her back to me when I thought I was losing her. The doctors didn't know what to do for her. The music from the CWG gave me strength to pray and to hold on until she was better and back home with me. Thank you Chuck Wagon Gang !

I bought this album in the 70s. Still that great sound. Awesome is the best I can say. This album has the 360 sound. The alto and tenor are in one speaker and the soprano and bass in the other. We enjoyed this recording very much.

This is the album that introduced me to the Chuck Wagon Gang. An excellent album. My sisters, brothers, and I imitated them and sang CWG songs in churches all over Jamaica. Love this group. They are so pure and authentic.

This particular LP was chosen as the album of the month for the Columbia Record Club in 1963. The club members received a notice that it would be sent to them unless they sent back the notice declining the offer. I hear that this one got a lot of takers! You will hear two different baritone/tenor singers on this...some cuts with Ronnie Page, and the others with Jimmy Wesson.

Randy Francis Also a former member of the Columbia Record Club. I joined in 1977 or so and got 8-tracks for a while til I changed to albums. 1963 had me a short time member of RCA Record Club which later became BMG Record Club.

Thanks! Im glad you like it. I grew up listening to them. For some reason "Come Out Of The Night" didn't record exactly right. It sounds fine on the record but the Bass Singer, I Think Roy, wasn't very loud? Maybe he dubbed that in on a separate track or something? One of the Lighthouse Videos did that? You listen to the record it sounds fine. It may be the program I used to record it?

"Come Out of the Night" is a beautiful song...even with a little technical imperfection! Rose, Anna and Roy's leads on it are sweeeeet!!

@@dishdryer78rustypootI dont hear that. It is recorded with 360 sound could be they had the balance off. I hear the balance is off on some of them.

The song 'Power in the blood' was done by the original group... Can you post the album it's on or even the song done by them.. thanks
@Cuzbro1007 жыл бұрын
Hi I checked their Discography back to 1950 and did not find that song by the Original group. That doesn't mean they didnt do the song, and Im sure they did at some point as it was a pretty classic song in the 60s. Couldnt hardly go in a church without hearing it. They may have done it on a 45 rpm or 78 record since they formed in 1935? Ill keep searching for it but, so far, Ive only found it by a more recent version of the group?.
@garymurray39407 жыл бұрын
The album am referring to consist of : 'Oh what a happy day, A day of joy is coming, Do you think to pray, No shadows when we get home, I'm gonna be in that glad band, Power in the blood, Hallelujah.... You can check from this guide... Very glorious album to have.. Incidentally , I have it on cassette...recorded it from the LP... Can't lose it
