I know this is old, but thought I would help out abit here. The second example where you say "you're not sure what to make of this" would most likely have been fueld by shorts closing. Using the open interest as another confluence will help narrow down which divs to take.

I see the the divergence and absorption all day long on low volume crypto...and the expected outcome does not materialize. I'm assuming the volume is to low to have the same affect one would expect. But great video either way...you explained it nicely.

Maybe you're looking at the wrong exchange or wrong futures pair? I find it confusing that there is spot, coin-margined perps, usdt-margined perps etc.

Right. Im also learning but I can tell that the amount bought must be equal to the amount sold. That's is the only logic option. I'm not sure if he made a glitch or doesn't know it at all.

spot buying with cvd on futures lowering means its a real move and not driven only by futures, futures can only manipulate so long before stopped out/funded out so its bullish

I noticed you drawing lines from the wicks. I know with RSI divergences, the wicks don't really matter since RSI doesn't actually show where the wicks went and so drawing lines off of them to find divergence in RSI is pretty useless. Does this not apply with CVD divergences and the CVD includes the wick in its price/line calculation? Thanks!

The real question here is when there's 'exhaustion' after comparing 2 lows/high, is what made price drop lower even tho there were sellers lacking?

using the cvd is more helpful with open intrest because it shows you if there was actually a decrease in positions that generally can lead price down. So people might have closed their long positions, which turns into a sell order, supporting the downside aswell.
