I love how batteries for 'budget' lights always cost more than the lights themselves

SmallRig is a little late to the budget LED market but still worth mentioning nonetheless.

Oh, damn. That linear response curve is _amazing._ The output tends to line up almost _perfectly_ with the % setting on the 120B, whereas the Aputure is horrendously inaccurate below 50%.
@AdamFunk2 жыл бұрын
That said, I might still go with the Aputure because of the incredible flexibility of the Sidus Link app....but you just made the choice really, really difficult.

1:36 ah ha, you don't even have the Amaran 100x in stock lol. That's my biggest problem with aputure and amaran lights these days, never in stock. At least these new smallrig light are already in stock when they are released!

Good review! I went with the 120B and at first blush I am happy with it. Shot outdoors with it the other day and it performed admirably. Just got the app and it is a bit immature as you say. It looks like the battery-gauge is replaced by a Bluetooth symbol on the lights lcd display so you can't tell what the battery live is...at least as far as I can tell.

@zoetmoments56252 жыл бұрын
Yes most certainly we ordered 2x Amaran 60x, but switch one of the 60x to the Small Rig 120Bi, both use V mount power source. and both can also use mains power. replacing our SL60W they use batteries for the version I have but it is proprietary battery. so am thinking of have them at the outer sections of the reception room.

What aperture lights would be ideal to use with V raptor slow frame rate mode (600fps) ??
@CVPTV2 жыл бұрын
Hey Joel, it depends on how much light you want, but I would recommend the 600D Pro as it wont flicker at that frame rate and should get you close to the light you need for 600 fps!!! Jake
@cagatota2 жыл бұрын
I would recommend nanlux Dyno 650c and 1200c if you need tons of flicker free soft light, if you need flicker free hard light, gobos, shapes or cuts my preferred light is the ETC source four series 3 leeko.
@JoelRiveraMD2 жыл бұрын
@@cagatota what about the 600d like jake recommended?
@cagatota2 жыл бұрын
@@JoelRiveraMD It’s a great light but is you are planning to buy it you can compare compare it before with the etc series 3 and check the differences, for example the aputure is daylight and the etc is full spectrum, then you have pros and cons if you want them to be just hard light or versatile, in that case maybe de aputure is better because of the bowen’s mount. The output and color quality of the etc is amazing, flicker free and dmx ready.
