Added a STM clutch and has much better feel. I still need to raise RPMs a little more and I want to add the backplate counter weight to the CVTech for next setup.
Speedo is off a little since running bigger tires and added a timer to video to give general numbers. Take it for whatever its worth, not 100% accurate but still gives you an idea.
Please feel free to leave comments if you see something wrong or have any suggestions. I'm learning here and hoping it will help others.
Current setup is:
CVTech Primary with 1016 spring 3x17grams & 3x16grams no backplate
STM Secondary with Pink spring 45Deg helix with EB
Stock Belt with 1500Km on it
Tires 28" Mega Mayhems
Muzzy Slip-on no tuner

I just bought a can am outlander 800. This machine seems to engine brake on flat ground. Are these machine like this? I’ve never owned a can am atv so it’s a little different. Maybe just have to use more throttle control when slowing down instead of just letting off completely. Thanks

I love my QSC and STM Gen II clutches. Just installed a 50-40 engine breaking helix in my STM ... it's good for downhill engine breaking, but still not as good as the stock secondary. The speed runs where pretty good ... did I see 112khrs or about 70mph and 7400 rpms there ?? ... Nice !! THANKS for shar'in !!

great vid, the only problem I would have is the engine braking at slow speeds, creeping speeds... When going down steep rocky hills it's great to have that like on the stock clutching.

Ya I know what you mean. Stock has strong engine break and I was pretty use to it. Rarely had to use the brakes. The STM is not as aggressive, but I think I can get use to this pretty quick.

How much is the engine break different from stock to this cvtech?

I'd say it's a little stronger with stock secondary. I've been running with cvtech primary and stm secondary so long that it's hard to remember how the stock was. With STM secondary my machine free wheels below 5mph or under 1000 rpm. Sometimes when going down hill I need to blip the throttle to keep the engine brake engaged.

The stock clutch seems ok but always just a bit lower rpm. Plus the stock helix wearing out & then eventually fails completely. Does the STM secondary last any longer than the stocker? Stock downhill braking is great.

+RikterZilla biggest difference you notice with aftermarket primary is belt pinch. Rpm can easily be adjusted higher or lower. STM is a rollers clutch not like stock which has a slider helix. Roller clutch has much less resistance and quicker response which will create less heat and last much longer. I ordered my stm with EB and it works just as good as stock with only difference is under 5 mph it lets go. You need to blip the throttle or stay on the throttle just a bit when going downhill if you don't want to free wheel.
