Dolph is one of the best sellers I've ever seen. He's especially good whenever he has to take a spear (ie Roman or Goldberg), man looks like he gets genuinely broken in half

@@andrewthornton6192 as far as I'm concerned, Brock has the most realistic sells of any wrestlers past and present. Brock is so underrated when it comes to his knowledge of wrestling and in ring storytelling. Personally I'm not a fan of Dolph's selling as it looks extremely cartoonish.

I think a lot gets lost when people focus on how the move is taken but a lot of the magic happens between moves. Kairi might not take the craziest bumps but her ability to generate sympathy and her facial expressions are next level, It's no coincidence that Dolph is a big fan.

@@TheNEOverse Yeah, but he suffered his way to a now almost 20 year career making a bunch more money than guys who got pushes and when it didn’t work were just gone. Not enough of the young guys understand how valuable and profitable it can be to be Dolph or Kofi (who is also fantastic at selling and always lost a lot because of it). It would be great to be Cena or Roman, but there aren’t many of them. Nothing wrong with a 20-30 year career in WWE losing because you sell well and eventually become a backstage guy like Road Dogg or a coach like Albert.

Anytime they mention Mick Foley I get goose bumps, his tooth was knocked in so far up, you could see it in his nose, I still feel the pain to these day 😢 haven't gotten over it yet, no one wants that absolutely. Dolph is great Foley is great, but most will rather be Dolph than Foley.

IVe always say Randy is the best « wrestler » of this generation. Your okada , omega etc are just a bunch of gymnast doing 20 fast paced move under 1min only for their opponents to kick out at 2, doesn’t look real. When you watch a Randy match , every single moves he does gets you going « oh snap » . The punt kick looke so freakin real at one point people were legit thinking he was kicking people in the face for real(especially since he was in his 09 era and taking anger management off screen)

For me the best way to sell would be like Bret Hart. He was a great seller but he never went too overboard with a sell to the point where it looked goofy or unrealistic. He sold as much as we would get invested in the story. He would sell like he got hurt and it would make us sympathise with him and he never lost credibility. Looking back now, the way he engineered his match and the way he sold was just a thing of beauty.

When I was training to be a wrestler, I was a better seller than I was hitting moves then my coaches said it doesn’t matter how good your offence gets, if you’re selling like that you’ll forever be the fall guy - unfortunately I never got to see if that was the case but it’s something that stuck with me and I pick up on those things when people complain about their favourite wrestlers losing all the time

Dolph is 100% right about this. Everyone just pops up from moves that look like they should kill them. It's hard for me to care about a devastating move if the wrrstler who took it jumps back up after half a second to do their own move. It must not hurt much if the wrestler is running around for 15 more minutes.

I think now that the tag team titles are both open it would be the right time for him to be booked on a stable with the Miz (and some other wrestler?Corbin, maybe?). They're both awesome heels and awesome sellers and they excel with the microphone. Zayn and Owens Vs. The Miz and Ziggler would be just too good.

He has the right idea, a bit borrowed from HBK but he has the right idea, in a business that's oversaturated, you have to be able to do something that for the most part only you can do and that's going to stand out and be different then what everyone else is doing. HBK in the early 90s was a mid-carder heel who was good at selling and making his opponents look good and that's why all the babyfaces at the time wanted to work with him or so he says in his book.

Dolph is just one of those guys who's character has been great at point but it just doesn't work as well today. His in ring performance is amazing and absolutely love his devotion to the craft. He just needs a freshen up with character somehow I don't know how you can shake his character up but I feel like if you can he can once again be the champ
