@llanero9177 DCS does NOT look this good. Even those night shots can easily be distinguished primarily with the lighting. DCS also doesn't have F-35 or Super Hornet models that look this good. Just Mods.

As CV-62 Tractor King in a previous life, this one gave me chills. Well done Outbound Course! Yes, the steam from the cats was very cinematic, but I never envied V-2 division when they had to pull them apart while underway.

Wait, is this a video game??!! I don’t play these games but I’ve been tracking the evolution and it was damn close to real not long ago, I can’t tell the differences now. I was a guest on the USS Constellation in April of 2001 when CDR Hubbard of VFA-151 invited me to come on for 3 days for his CQ quals, I was an Army Infantry E-7 and amazed at what I saw and experienced. I spent hours on vultures row for day and night cats and traps, the sound is so loud and powerful that it seems to go right through you even though you have double hearing protection! I stood on the LSO platform for an hour when they trapped and was blown away at how good those pilots are, just amazing. My Navy is amazing, so glad they’re around.

Because of a twist of history, naval aviators receive their military training from Marine Drill Instructors. Mine was Gunny Montimayer, and his supervisor, Captain Mack (USMC).

@@RhinoAg yep. The 35C VMFAs also deploy a lot more frequently than the old legacy hornet VMFAs did with CVWs. This was their second deployment on the Abe and they were the first to use the 35C in anger.
