What a great singing ( No pun intended) sax soli, and the band has such a nice beat and smooth brass section work. Its a perfect fox trot.

Every sweet band in that day had to have a gimmick. Here, it’s the trombones overdoing the slide. Wonder if the leader listened to the playback of the very nice saxes and thought - I have something here. Let’s drop the cute stuff.

The trombones weren't the only sliding instrument in the Osborne crew. Bach manufactured special "slide cornets" for them!
