@@cwehden RM a.k.a. Rap Monster is the reason Jungkook signed with BigHit Entertainment as he was offered by others like one in the big3. Kookie admires and looks up to RM. Many had not thought of RM having a lovely low toned singing vocal since his forta is rap. In a video showing RM and Jungkook singing quietly together we all got to hear his singing. Truly wonderful. So you got to hear a rare feature treat with him on this song. Love your reaction.

Slight Correction: After Jungkook was eliminated from the preliminaries of Super Star K3, his audition tape for the show was never released on TV but caught the attention of several labels. He was offered casting invitations from 7 different companies, the only one from Kpop's Big 3 was JYP Entertainment; otherwise, there were companies such as FNC Entertainment, Woolim Entertainment, Cube Entertainment, Starship Entertainment, TS Entertainment, and Big Hit Entertainment - which he later decided to sign under after watching RM rap and thinking that it'd be cool to be in the same company as him despite the label being small, new, and unknown.

Both RM and V (also from bts) have dark tone voices and they have a BEAUTIFUL duet that they wrote and performed together called "4 o'clock". its my favorite thing anyone from bts has ever created.

@@scifigeek14 there are tweets on Twitter about it and a clip showing little boy being soothed and calmed by listening to this song. It brought tears to my eyes to watch it. Then parents starting sharing about it. It struck me hard and I thought leave it to our guys to come up with something that will help children in this way. Just extraodinary. Prayers and thoughts with you fellow ARMY. Glad the guys help you as they do me. When I am upset I get out my playlist filled with their music and get lost for a while. 💜

RM actually has a very deep voice and though he almost always raps, when he sings he's got a beautiful darkness to it even when he sings in a mid range. He sings in 4oclock with V too (who also has a darker tone).

When I first became a fan of BTS and heard this cover, I was SHOCKED at RM's singing. I was so used to his rapping. I like the flavor of his voice. We don't hear it often, and it's fun when we do. While Jungkook, is the main vocalist, lead dancer, maknae (the youngest member of a group in Korean), and center of BTS. They have both been considered the face of the group before. Another really good song to listen to would be Jungkook's cover of If You by Big Bang. It's a heavenly song. Jungkook sang this live on the masked singer but it sounded like a studio version. P.S You won't be able to find the full version on KZbin. I suggest you search up "King of masked Singer Jungkook Cut". You will most likely find it!

Thank you for this reaction!! I have watched a couple videos you have reacted to, especially the BTS ones and I want to say thank you for giving them a chance! I also am really happy you pointed out that underlying vocals under the main vocals. This is actually something BTS does quite often, and I had heard someone say that instead of adding a harmony which would give a much richer colour to the song, BTS uses a "darker" voice but with the same pitch, as you said, to give it more depth but not making it to much. Sometimes it is a lighter voice but typically they use someone's darker voice, often being J-hope. I really like your reactions and I hope you can react to other Kpop singers such as AKMU or EXO! Please give them a chance, their vocals are amazing!!! Also don't work about not knowing that Rap Monster was RM! He only recently changed it and this is an old cover. Thank you!

Jungkook did this cover with RM in 2015. It's lovely to hear how his vocals have evolved and changed in the past 3 years, while retaining that sweetness and uniqueness that make his voice stand out for listeners. RM has a quite nice singing voice for a rapper. He enjoys singing, and I'm sure he would love to do it more often. All of the members of BTS actually have lovely singing voices. I appreciate that you are taking the time in these videos to point out the nuances and technique to their vocals. Ah ah it's just RM is a rapper but as someone who is not a vocalist, I think he always do great, with kind of charisma not high technique...also I think the deviation in his noise back before end 2017 should have disabled him, not sure 🤔🤔🤔 (right now fixed with a surgery)
