Jamaica has nothing to be ashamed of. They played brilliantly. This was their first gold medal match and they came back strongly in the final quarter after being as much as 10 down in the 3rd quarter. I am proud of them and congratulations to Australia for coming back like true champions against a brilliant Jamaican team that could just as easily have been the gold medal winners

I believe Jamaica could have won the second match with a little more patience. they would have created the opening in the Australia defence before making the center passes and that would have given them more success in their attacks. On the other hand the Sunshine Girls were forcing the passes too much and that is the reason why they lost the games. I think if we had got a England in final, we would have won the tournament. I am proud of the Sunshine Girls overall performances.

I am dissapointed in not getting the gold howeve we could not have asked more of these ladies . No doubt they were the team of the tournament. They are certainly ja number one team but to beat australia twice at the tournament was reAlly a hard one. Congrats ausrtaliA we will meet again. I see a nice rivalry in the near future . The C for Jamaica needed to be changed after the first quarter, there was no chemistry between her and Fowler, the WA and Fowler has the better chemistry in terms of shot passes. That also cost them the game, majority of the turnovers took place in the center court... They needed a shuffle at Half Time for C and WA.

Jamaica needs to work on marking/defending cause it really annoyed me on how much the Australian team were free. Like why is the Jamaican girl looking at the Australian girl knowing she's free and knowing that her team doesn't have the ball like go and mark her like the easiest way to get the ball is by held ball especially if your losing like relax and stop trying to attack the ball knowing your more than likely gonna get a contact they depend on the GD and GK way too much and that's what cost them most of time cause they wait to defend the ball when it's in the goal circle of the other team, like yes them attacking the ball is good but when it's in match like this and your losing it would have helped them so much if they marked the other team more cause if you look at Australia's team they had a good balance of both which made it hard for the Jamaican team to pass the ball around.

That was clear obstruction and contact by the AU WD. @1.22.15, who had her arms wrapped around the JA player as soon as the ball was hoisted to her, even b4 the ball got to her, and even continued into her 'fall'. Recall she was in the.line when this allnstarted and she pushed the JA player back from.where she was standing. Netball has to step up to keep the game fair and introduce video recall on appeal, which everyone including spectators can also see - at the very least. That total reliance on 4 pairs of eyes only, must be changed.

If Jamaica did not have some of those slips on court and fumbles they would have surely beaten Australia. In my opinion Australia got lucky.
@marcusgraham5084
@marcusgraham5084 Жыл бұрын
Yeah I agree with you. If it were not for those slips and fumbles; yeah, definitely would have gotten the gold. But, it's a finals. Anything can happen. But, for a Caribbean nation to reach this far in the tournament, speaks volumes of the will and determination of the Jamaicans. The Jamaicans are the winners in my book, as well as the majority of supporters. They have proven that they are a mercurial force to be reckoned with. I'm sure they will go back to the drawing broad and come back stronger. Note: If I were the Australian coach, I would still have some serious concerns, in spite of their victory. Victory should have been by a wider margin; especially if they were talking about redemption.
