Super Mario Galaxy Glitches that STILL WORK

22:05 is a failsafe measure to prevent possible softlocks, its also in galaxy 2 i also remember finding a glitch in good egg galaxy's orange pipe area back in about 2010 where i was able to noclip out the area by jumping at the invisible barrier, i cant quite remember what i did but i eventually managed to get out and nothing happened for a while before i eventually died

Just found out that when doing the glitch with the eternal lil' cinder flame, you can shake to extinguish the flame, and then there will be an invisible lil cinder stuck in the place you did the glitch on him. You can also give it fire with the fire flower, and then its just a regular lil cinder but invisible and stuck in place. It can also damage you.

I remember my older sister playing Freezeflame Galaxy, in the Wii. She lost a life by just standing in a corner by some spiked enemies. She had defeated them, but she just lost. I think that was a glitch....

Wish I knew about the Freezeflame lava section skip and the Spacejunk maze planet skips sooner! Definitely going to be using them on all future playthroughs of the game. You mentioned that you can hold Z with a shell to break, and in a similar trick you can hold Z whilst in a cannon to zoom in and out. I'm convinced that neither of these tricks are mentioned in the game, and few people seem to know about them.

There's something I want to point out. If you get a character like Mario or Luigi, close To an edge with water. For some reason, no dive in it. It's pretty interesting. It took me a long time to figure that out, but I eventually did. I can't remember when I discovered it though.

i have no idea why they added collision and even gravity to some things you are never supposed to get to, but thats why i love this game so much, it didn't need nearly as much attention to detail but there it is still

I remember some of these from Space Chicken's Glitch Vault episode but not all of them. I attempted some but I don't remember if I succeeded.

Some things to note: With the cannon in Deep Dark, I believe it is possible to also fire yourself into the toad spaceship, but unlike Space Junk, you are able to escape. Like the first glitch with Luigi, if you go back after messing around with Bowser in the final level to the cutscene trigger, the cutscene will start, but softlocks after Bowser Jr. fires his cannons, leaving only the waving Bowser flag, Bowser's mug, and Bowser Jr. and Peach on his airship.

I swear Nintendo didn’t test the cannon in Deep Dark Galaxy at 26:41 you can actually use the cannon to go to where the yellow blocks are but don’t aim for the yellow blocks aim higher and more to the left you will hit an invincible wall and hopefully land on the top ground the game won’t spawn the enemies since it doesn’t expect you to be there I just thought it was worth sharing since it happened to me since I was playing around with the cannon.

I assume flying Mario being able to collect star bits like that has to do with him being able to collect purple coins in the same manner.

I know about braking with a shell and used it to great effect in Battle Belt Galaxy in the section with the boos.

Cant remember where i saw this but there is a glitch where you can die in the observatory. Go to the trials planet and go to the yellow part, the part of it facing away from the observatory. You have to then preform some jumps on the green luma next door and if done correctly you will be draged back to the observatory. If you have the red star extra out of the glass early you can land right on it as you fall, but fall off the cliff right after. This causes mario/luigi to be teleported back up to the trials planet with the red star extra (since the trials planet was the last planet you would have touched) now use the red star extra to fly off into space away from the observatory, the extra will run out and when you fall you will be too far away from the observatory and will simply fall and die.

The honey hive hill, you absolutely don't need to do it that way. You could just run and spin up the hill, and it will work just fine. it's easier, too

the version of mario 64 on 3D all-stars patched the BLJ, so you never know

@@CWillyHDThe BLJ was patched in the later versions of Mario 64 on the Nintendo 64, one way to tell is if you press the - button on the Mario face menu there will be like 30 mini screens :)

That one where the coins regenerate your health after reaching zero, that happened to me in one of the Bowser fights He launched me super high and he'd basically killed me But I landed directly on top of one of the arena's coins
