Great video! What do you use to remove the bolts at the back? I tried a long extension with my impact wrench, but there are too many things in the way. I need something that can rotate and also withstand high torque. Do you have an suggestions?

Thanks for watching! I used the following to remove it. · 3/8 Breaker Bar. Length is 10" (25cm). · 14mm normal socket and deep socket. · 3/8 universal ball joint. I used the Breaker Bar first when loosening the bolts. Then I used a ratchet or impact wrench. I couldn't use an impact wrench in some places.

Is it essentially the same as the front bearings? I've got a 2013 xz5 and beleive 1 of them went out just gotta figure out which 1

Do you know of any good way of telling which bearing is going bad? Pretty sure it's one in the rear, but definitely can't tell which side yet.

Typically with the car jacked up- you can attempt to wiggle each wheel, when the wheel has play in the hub the bearing has gone bad.

I have a sound but only when I go in a curve, but when I go in a straight line it goes away. I think it can be my bearing.

@Manuelapv I think this is probably an early symptom. The wheel making the noise may be warm. In my car, even though I heard that noise, there was no wheel rattling.

I know it has been 2 years but that shock absorber was leaking and needed replacement. The rotor was bad too.

Hello. Numerical information is quoted from Mazda's maintenance manual. The same description was also found on multiple personal blogs.

3/8 ratchet wrench with deep sockets 10mm to 19mm, cordless impact wrench (high torque) with a set of deep impact sockets 19mm to 35mm, 3/8 inch universal joint, 3/8 inch extension bar, and 18 inch 3/8 breaker bar. Torque wrench 1/2 inch (up to 200 ft-lbs), a wire brush, penetrant oil spray, gear grease, and a new hub assembly. You may need pliers and flat head screwdriver too.
