One was also good at hitting his wife, a disabled fan and the bottle. He was a horrible racist to boot. I guess all of that is forgiven because he was a good baseball player though.

Strange how Hornsby seems to be a forgotten superstar. He was probably the greatest right handed hitter of all time.

@@dinkyb2000 Hornsby and Foxx both played in an era that was OWNED by hitters, Mays did not. Hornsby and Foxx never had to face the best pitcher of their era (Paige). Not taking anything away from Hornsby and Foxx, but you seem to be trying to diminish Mays, who, in my opinion, was the best baseball player, ever.

Not often you hear something along the lines of "I shared a razor blade with Cy Young."
@Thndrstrike3 жыл бұрын
and yet that's still somehow not as baffling as "I made 87-year-old Cy Young chop wood and had him sign a piece"
@ahimsaalexander90049 ай бұрын
Well, if ya know anything about Cy Young, then you’d know he loved chopping wood to remind himself of his farming roots back in Ohio. He would do that almost every year in his downtime to ground himself and center himself. I think it sounds like a meditation method for Young. So Shelton wasn’t being rude so much as kept something Cy would’ve been doing anyway- chopping wood for fun lol. Doesn’t sound fun to me, but it worked for him 😊

Good stuff! Great to see that Hall understands the relic is not what's important, but the story behind it. Hey video-maker, the music used to underscore this video drove me insane, calling attention to itself and undermining the speakers. Don't use "highlight reel" music under a low-key interview for God's Sake.
