This put a huge smile on my face! I would have loved to see some Bible cartoons from Walt more than, say, his compilation films. (EG, Icabod and Mr. Toad or other ones you can rarely find on DVD now.) Even if you are not religious like I am, you can't deny the charm and craft here. PS, I've heard of this short for a long time but 6/23/22 was my first time seeing it. :) EDIT: I'm not saying "NO compilation films should have been made", I'm just saying I would rather see more Bible shorts than compilation films.

Funny that Dusney basically remade this short for Fantasia 2000 but replacing Noah and his family with Donald and removing inconsistencies to the number of animals. Because seriously, you can tell there's more than two in each short. I prefer that version, especially with the music.

Let me explain the Noah's Ark story. Not all the species of animals went into the Ark. The animals that lived in the waters didn't went into the Ark. Only the land animals and semi-aquatic animals. Not every specific species of animals went into the Ark. In Genesis 6:20, only the representatives of the animal families went into the Ark. For example, from one pair of dogs comes the different species of wolves, jackals, and domestic dogs. Not all the animals that went into the Ark were full grown. Some species of animals are independent from a young age. What is the average size of some animals? Around the size of a sheep. In Genesis 6:15, the Ark was 300 cubits (450 feet) long, 50 cubits (75 feet) wide, and 30 cubits (45 feet) high. The Ark had the storage space of 522 railroad stock carts. How many animals were needed to go into the Ark? An Ark expect said around 30,000 animals. How many sheep can fit into one railroad stock cart? 240 sheep. How many sheep can fit in the Ark? 522 × 240 = 125,280 sheep. But remember Noah only needed 30,000 animals. So the extra space was for food, water, and room to move around. In conclusion, the story of Noah's Ark is true.
