Amazing journey to get to this point (watched your previous videos) !!! You're the only one doing this stuff on youtube :) I'm curious about the ratio for both coating and developing solutions

it looks so good. It looks like this way the prepared paper itself is more sensitive to UV light? is that true? i might need to check it myself

Hello, is it necessary to add oxalates to show the negative image, and can only cyanotype paint work without oxalates to show the image? Is this possible? I hope for a response. Thank you for this distinguished video.

Hi Nicole! love your content!! Question: did you try any "Rapid Cyanotype" process?
@NicoleSmallOneonOne Жыл бұрын
Hi Nicolas! Thank you.The formula in this video is a rapid Cyanotype formula, excellent for in- camera Cyanotypes.

@@NicoleSmallOneonOne you're right 🤦♂, my bad. I need to try this. You're an inspiration!

This is interesting! I didn't know you could apply the chemicals separately. Since you have a negative image, what will you do to invert it?
@NicoleSmallOneonOne Жыл бұрын
Hi. Yes you can. As for the negative, still working on that. 😀

How can you reverse the negative, i.e. make a positive print from the negative? You can buy an expensive premium glossy paper and coat it with the cyanotype solution or you can use a thin paper and coat it. After developing, soaking and drying, wax the dried paper e.g. with beeswax or oil it (+remove excess oil!) and make a contact print (1:1) on a light-sensitive paper. The exposure time depends on the thickness of the negative, i.e. the paper you want to print on. If you want to print the negative on a cyanotype paper, this will take quite a long time. I would use b/w paper. The texture of the paper leaves a nice poetic impression.

i make my own cyanotype with coffee. we need water color paper and black coffee powder and water mix the coffee solusion and mixsure the quality of the coffee solusion is strong color and put to the paper and you can print now exposure for a 1hour to 2hours and the photos is nigative you can make now!!

Just curious, what is the purpose of the second application? Normally I just wash my Cyanotype with water and a little hydrogen peroxide. PS...very creative camera design. Thank you
@NicoleSmallOneonOne Жыл бұрын
Hi Tony! Thank you. Yes, as in the traditional way you would apply the chemistry mixed together onto the paper but in this case, I have applied them one at a time which seems to work better when using a box camera as per my research. In this case, the Potassium Ferricyanide acts as the developer and after the rinse, hydrogen peroxide is to be applied, I just did not do it here. There will be more!

Hi! quick question, will this method work without the chemicals?
@danncorbit3623 Жыл бұрын
It really made me anxious that you were not wearing gloves. Both oxalic acid and the cyanate are toxic.
@NicoleSmallOneonOne Жыл бұрын
Hi Dann. Yes, very bad on me. I did not realize in time that I had run out of rubber gloves. Won't happen again, that is for sure.
@jakubmarszaek8330 Жыл бұрын
cyanate isnt toxic itself but it can heavily react with acids and give of toxic fumes, oxalic acid itself can be dangerous in non-well-ventilated rooms and on a longer run can do harm
