@10:54 Duel links meta you can't go back on a card you already played.You activate the spell, spell is already in play, no way to go back.When you go tribute summoning, the summon is the LAST THING it happens so you can stop it before that.Same with synchro summoning.So why is this a thing?Imagine you have an untargetable minion on board like Blue-eyes chaos max dragon and your opponent activates card like raigeki break(target effect), since your max dragon is untargetable, your opponent is forced to destroy another monster, even his own.So if we follow your suggestion, the card is still not in effect, so technically your opponent can say "i dont wanna use it" and reverse his play.That is stupud.

It's worthy. But the most recently released decks will have a longer lifetime as competitive decks. For example Crystrons or Mermails + SSA. But if you enjoy Red-Eyes, just go for it. It will be competitive for a long time, take a look at ancient gears, they are still viable and clapping.

The thing with power bond is you need 7 cards in the hand to do the combo. Also solemn scolding to make the skill consistent.
