@@vishalnagasai9683 I just watched Cyberkraft videos for PBQs. Complete your MCQ first, and then, in the end, complete your PBQs.

Thanks! The drop downs aren’t showing up for some reason. But I was still able to follow along. You make a great point about using the same answer’s multiple times. That throwing me off on earlier PBQ’s because I assumed every answer would be used. Great job! Really helped me understand this question.

Thanks for explaining the PBQ's. Often I find it hard to decipher what they are actually asking for in a lot of the PBQ's.

Just passed my Sec+ exam a couple of hours ago on the first try and they definitely had an infected server pbq. I don't know if I got it wrong or right but I understood part of it due to this vid.

Judging by your message, it sounds like you passed. So congratulations! Also, careful throwing the letter 'f' around to mean the word 'for'. I had to read your comment 3 times, because it looked like you were cursing over and over. :)

Is it helpful for CompTIA security + 701 exam ?
@Chris-tq1jy2 жыл бұрын
During the assessment exam I took, the performance based questions didn't seem to have enough information. It's the PBQ that matches the type of attack with the method of attack, I struggled with it because it didn't appear to give enough info.

That can be very tricky. The exam certainly tries its best to confuse you at every opportunity. Usually, there will be one or two key words or clues that will subtly hint at one of the possible solutions. Identifying those key words is very challenging.

how come the ip become ports started with 60
@Tingdere14 Жыл бұрын
Late response, but Ports 49152 through 65535 are all unregistered and can be used for anything. The exercise needed to use something as an example so it picked random port numbers that also included the host IP address' last octet to help the test taker realize they were related. Technically CompTIA could've chosen any 2 port numbers between 49152 through 65535. Note that the port numbers had to change so that the firewall would know where to direct the return traffic and it also couldn't leave the port as 443, as that port is already reserved for incoming HTTPS traffic, which would matter if the firewall had a secure website behind it that it routes to. (also note that I'm not an expert, but this is how I understand it) Think of the answer as the same that could be given to the question, 'why they chose the IP addresses they did for the hosts'. They used 10.x.x.x IP addresses since those are known private IPs that can be used by anyone in their private networking and therefore they fit the requirements of the exercise.

So what about the port numbers at the beginning (49152)? Do you just ignore those? We couldn't see the drop-downs in the video, but I'd bet any money options with those port numbers were there to throw us off. lol

Adrian, great question! I didn't like any of the study materials I found. So, I made my own! I eventually transformed my study materials into my own Security+ course. With this course, you'll receive 30 hours of my videos as well as my practice questions and exams. You'll also get the official CompTIA Learn and Labs training environments included. Check out the course here: cyberkrafttraining.com/security-plus-sp/
